United 8 - 2 Colony Colts

Great result today. The hard work the boys are putting in is really paying off. Other than a wee 5 minute spell in the first half, where Colony somehow nicked 2 goals to level the game at 2-2, United dominated all over the pitch. The defensive side of our team is growing in confidence and working so hard to protect Ruairi’s goal. Offensively, Colony couldn’t handle the strength and pace of our attackers, and in fact took to wrestling to try and stop us! 😃
There were a few good goals today. Rowan with another free kick. Nordi with a lovely finish after a good team move. Early contender for goal of the season from Owen though, with a bullet header from a deep cross from Jayden. Outstanding.

Whilst the goalscorers often get the glory, credit goes to the whole team, as always.
There will be tougher games to come, but we honestly shouldn’t fear anyone.

United got the season off to a flyer this morning, away at Glentanar.
Ryan scored our first goal of the new term, with a good finish from the edge of the box. The home team fought back and equalised after hopeful long ball. Rowan then got us back in the lead with a stunning free kick from long distance. Culter began to control the game and Jayden capitalised from hard work from Owen and Stanley with a couple of close range finishes.
Fair play to Glentanar, they came out strong in the 2nd half, but Jayden completing his hat trick knocked their attempts at getting back into it, before a Stanley goal sealed the deal. The home team got a 2nd from close range to finish the goals for the day. First 3 points banked.

Goals are ace. Winning games of football is ace. Seeing these lads come together and play for one another is the best. Some of the passing and moving today was outstanding.

Everyone was amazing today. Particular shout out and a big thank you to Benji, who stood in for the injured Ruairi in goals. A few great saves and excellent distribution. 👏

Another amazing experience for the ball squad at Pittodrie today. What an atmosphere and what a win for the Dons. Culter are clearly a lucky charm for the Dandies. 😉

From Pittodrie Ball Squad, to practising shots against your da, all in the same day. Good fun and positive experiences. That’s what football’s all about!

Boys and girls of Culter Youth smashed it today as the ball squad for Aberdeen v Queens Park. They did themselves and the club very proud. Same again next week for Aberdeen v Kelty Hearts, with hopefully less seagulls!
