U10 Whites Player of the week is Eden. She showed fantastic concentration during our drills this week, with some brilliant footwork and skills on display.

When it came to playing football, she was super quick, showing great speed and energy throughout.

It was fantastic to see Eden putting all these things together and really enjoying her football. Keep it going Eden! 🎉

This Sunday our Ladies team are at home to Grampian in a North League Cup, group stage match, at Garthdee. Currently Grampian sit top of the group table with our Ladies sitting second, so its sure to be an exciting match for all spectators.

A huge well done to the girls yesterday at their first 5v5 festival. They all were amazing, working hard on and off the ball. Great passing, defending and goals scored. Shout out to Abbie and Emily who played in their first festival and were brilliant. Thanks to parents for getting the girls there. 👏🏻⚽️

The U12 Reds game today was a cracker against Buchan Blacks. A cliche but a game of two halves. We dominated the first half and went into break ahead. But credit to Buchan who came out fighting and turned it round.

Loads of super passing, crossing, and shooting first half but we just couldn’t get out of our own area in second. Lots of positives from game, always frustrating to lose from winning position but Reds will learn from experience. Best of luck to Buchan for remaining games. Well played both teams.

Our U16 Reds had another league game on the road this morning with a trip to Turriff United at the Haughs.

The game started brightly with both teams putting pressure on the keepers but the deadlock was broken quite quickly by Sienna when she struck a long shot into the net on the 8 minute mark. The match then stayed tight until 32 minutes when Teagan scored through another well taken long strike, followed by a third from Lucia 2 minutes later putting away a well placed cross from Leia.

The second half was similar hard fought affair with both teams testing each other well, but the match was put to bed on the 65 minute mark when Leia struck a brilliant long shot from the edge of the box into the top corner to put Aberdeen four up. Despite the scoreline Turriff did not stop pressing until the final whistle and were unlucky with the woodwork on a few occasions, but with no further goals the match played out to a final score of Turriff United 0-4 Aberdeen Reds.

The coaches were delighted with the effort from every one of the girls today and congrats to Lucia on her first match with the team and her excellent goal to mark the occasion.

Thanks very much to Turriff for hosting and we wish them well for the rest of the season.

Today was a tough one for U14 Whites, with an extremely challenging game against Kintore.

With new players coming into the squad, plenty of changes, injuries and players having to adapt to different positions, we knew we weren’t in the best position going into the match.

Going into half-time 7–0 down was difficult, and understandably there were some heads down and confidence taking a knock. However, the girls came back out for the second half and showed real determination to battle hard and keep going.

The second half brought further challenges, including a number of cards and eventually a red card, which left us playing with 10 players. Despite this, the girls continued to fight for each other and gave everything they could until the final whistle.
The final result was ACLFC 0–9 Kintore.

We dust ourselves down, take the positives, learn
from today and look forward to the next game.
