Ace Mountain Adventures

Yesterday working hill safety for Run and Rock Guiding and Lake District Sky Trails on the Helvellyn sky ultra. Only a 3 layer day (double waterproofs), always a great day in the mountains ⛰️

Was about time I replaced some old kit. And as always bright is right! 😎

Busy week last week trip up to the Ben, then back to the lakes on Friday for a corporate job on Helvelyn from Swirls weather didn’t play nice, then Coniston on Saturday for a hill safety job working on the Old Man of Coniston (not many pics of these 2 as weather wasn’t great for phone usage) then an great day yesterday taking a group who wanted to do Helvelyn via the edges which was an absolute pleasure to do they were so engaging and loved every second of it.

All work done for Lakeland Mountain Guides always a pleasure working for these guys.

8 days down south on a Campfire Wild Adventures working on back to back camps. Good groups and made even better working with a great bunch of instructors, even managed to make fire with the bow drill! 😲. Now to drive north of the border to The Ben .

A few from last nights sunset while on the hill, and the moon at 2:15am this morning.

Currently sitting at hut 1 on the spine having completed 2 carries up onto the hill with kit and food. Water source found and tent up.

Back from lakes on a D of E exped. Had a van issue which is thankfully now solved! Now to re-pac for 4 days in the North on the Spine SST up at Hut 1.

Just back from a week down south for Campfire Wild Adventures as always been with some great folks. Quick night at home and now setting off to the lakes for two days, then it’s north again for 4 days. More adventures to come

Well that’s one down 2 to go, just back from working hill safety on The Cateran Yomp great weekend as always, all competitors did absolutely amazing and always humbled to hear some of the stories they have. Thanks all, quick turnaround tonight and in morning an early start in morning over to Cumbria to collect and move the horse, then on the road in afternoon down south to work the rest of the week for Campfire Wild Adventures.

Van ready for back to back trips, Scotland first working for TrueGrit Events and The Cateran Yomp then south on Monday working for Campfire Wild Adventures on a camp. More busy times over the next couple of months….
