Mixed night on JJ last night
Da iawn I Gareth a Dylan. 10th overall is not to be sniffed at young man π
Commiserations to Dyfed and Ianto. Caught a rock and broke comp strut arm stopping them really getting into the flow. Never mind, it happens so better luck next time. You just can't predict such things.
Thanks to both crews for your enthusiasm and Company.
Best get ready for a other double header next weekend.

JJ brown rally, 1st event for us this year.
Let's hope it stays dry!
Good luck to all competitors
Let's see how Dyfed gets on in CVE and Gareth in GTA π

Sad sad news to hear that Ken has passed in an accident

Happy new year friends ##

Phew. Just counting up this years car hires.......
41starts and only 3 DNF
Work horse of the year goes to DFO with a massive 16 hires and no DNF although, she did have a wiring connector issue on 1 event, which was gutting, but we found it thankfully and she finished the day.
Several class awards, x2 wins, x1 2nd, x1 3rd and x4 1st timers and 1 massive loss
Let's see how 2023 compares, at the moment it's looking good.
Thanks again to all our wonderful customers both on event and off. You're stars, all of you! We are grateful to be blessed with such wonderful Customers, Competitors, Staff and Company!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and thanks to you all for giving us such a very busy year.
Its been a pleasure! Diolch

Off to the last stage.
Checked over and new boots ready for the 18 miler to.finish off.

Last event this year for this baby
Let's hope they have a good one. Short stage tonight to get in the mood and an 18 miler to.finish tomorrow after a couple of shorter morning stages

When Matt Rees and Jamie Mills take the car to Exmouth Memorial Rally and you're at HQ with no internet or mobile phone and only realise on the way to work Monday that they only went and blinkin won it.
Buzzin for you lads. Good job and no damage ;)
Seems there was no need to worry about running car 2 when you won by a good margin even with picking up some penalties π

Cilwendeg rally ........
SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE BUT REBOOKED SAME DAY π
after 14 enquiries for just 2 cars that were already booked it looks like we now have 1 available as 1 booking is so far down the reserve list there's no point hoping for a run.
Let me know if you still need a car

Just to let you know that we will be closed on Monday 19th whilst we watch this ladies last journey.

Hmmm
Bitter sweet weekend with Ryan Simpson and Marc.
After only driving for 10 mins prior to the event to check the brakes and get some feel for the car boy did he get to grips quickly
After starting at car 39 and lying 7th overnight then 10th and climbing before disaster struck on stage 10 of 12.
To get from what the videos show to what the picture shows can't be put into words. Gutted all round is an under statement πͺ
Certainly a chip off the old block and was a pleasure to watch.

for us this weekend.
Having fun with Ryan Simpson and Marc Fowler running car 39 and hopefully enjoying some good banter as his dad Wes is running car 1 and parked up next to us.
Not been here for many moons and really looking forward expecially as it may be the last one π
Keep posted to see how they get on. There's some live coverage planned so tune in π

Well that's that done and dusted. So pleased to be part of our local closed road event and what a good job the organisers did. Some praise for Haydn Paddon to say it was a world class event
It wasn't all plain sailing for our team unfortunately.
VWB rally was short lived when a core plug sprung a pinhole and they had to pull over due to lack of coolant! I think it's fair to say that up to that point in his first ever drive of a stage car they enjoyed themselves π Going to have another crack next year.
We faired better and JDL never missed a beat. We were lucky to make it back to service after Sunday 1st loop with a gallon of fuel left π³
So glad I took soothers with me. Never called notes so fast and I too was slow off the blocks in a couple of places, crazy amount of notes and how the top boys do it I'll never know!
We were very happy with 22nd overall and 4th in class. After looking at our times we were actually closer to the other 3 than we thought although we would have kept the same positions as they all received a nominal time 50 secs quicker than us on stage 5 and it looks like we had an error on the 2nd Nantymoch time that cost us 24 seconds. Gary said he needs to be quicker off the blocks π
She handles SO much better after setting her up in Trawsfynydd after the Argyll rally.
All ready for the Promenade Stages this weekend now π

So Rali Ceredigion is finally here
Getting ready to start town stages soon
How fully both us and Irfon/Daniel have a great event too
Running car 40 and 54 this weekend and some great competition to be had I think!

Another doubler on the Lombard event under our belt that was a crowd and crew pleaser.
Amazing weather, great venue and great company
Graham Elsmore, Martin Dalby, Paul Willetts and Stuart Harrold. Lots of interesting stories told and more new friends made and old friends reunited.
Thanks guys it was a pleasure.
Now to get ready for Rali Ceredigion

Rali Ceredigion next weekend
Ha... no pressure then with these 2 behind us

Well last weekend was fun and I can't believe we're at next weekend already!
Running car 1 and 2 on the road was fab and loads of banter.
Car 1 was leading until they lost time knocking a tyre off the rim. They managed to scrape that time back and were leading again until they had a "moment" on stage 8 which dropped them loads of time and called it a day. Shakedown before Rali Ceredigion successfully completed and no point having any more moments in a car that wasn't theirs.
Gary and Chris had a great day finishing second. Had he have listened more attentively to Chris and not overshot the only junction he may well have scraped into 1st but that as they say is rallying. They still had great fun!
Was bitter sweet taking Tyny for 1 last spin but I'm sure he would have enjoyed every minute!!
Flying boys π

Rally day π
Let's hope everyone has a safe and successful day
Running 1st and 2nd on the road
Be nice to see them finish 1 & 2 π€

Family time chilling at Trawsfynydd waiting on rally tomorrow
Upgrade for CVE from
She's been ready for weeks but we just haven't had time to get her fitted. This weekend is busy too but she'd have had to wait 6 more weeks for us to get there so today it was.
Wow does she pull now π³

When customers crash out of a rally but leave goodies behind......ummm
So a day up on the ranges was fun and very hot
We needed to set up Gary car as suspension was a little unpredictable. Feels loads better thankfully. Not perfect but confidence inspiring now
Also took VWB for a bit of a test drive in preparation for Rali Ceredigion and maybe Gareth Hall stages back here at Trawsfynydd
The drivers hadn't driven 300+bhp nor used a sequential box and see the progression was great. They are both feeling the love and confidence is high. Can't wait to see how they get on.
Don't be fooled by the start of the video, it was an early glitch ;)

Well that was a busy one and great to have a family weekend at the same time π³
Shenanigans at Brunton were great fun again. Meeting back up with some great people and meeting some new ones is always a pleasure. I think it's fair to say a good day was had by all.
It was lovely to be asked for a car for Graeme Ash to celebrate his milestone birthday in TSA aka SAO135X which was on Graeme old car after a long time out of a rally car taking his young uns to co-drive π
VWB was a bit of a step up in power from DFO last year and it was no surprise they got to grips with it quickly enough although some of the slides may say otherwiseπ
GTA was with Sam all day this year and he got even more confidant than last year and showed great car control all day. Not always a need for loads of power as his good lady will concur.
DFO was at Nicky Grist stages with Neil and Dom. We were thrilled watching the live results to see he led his class all day going into the last stage. The weather didn't help anyone's tyre wear and they lost out on the class win settling for 2nd. Indeed were lucky to make it home with the tyres in such a state. Well done for the finish lads.
CVE with Rhodri and Osian up on the Pacemaker. Must have been a long day for them after being on Nicky Grist during the day. They were setting some great times and were heading for a top 10 finish until they got caught out by a gate post. Nothing that won't fix but it was a shame to end their night early
All in all a good weekend with 4 out of 5 finshes

So a super busy weekend which wouldn't be possible without help from wonderful friends and family.
3 bound for a rally fest near Bamburgh
1 enroute to Builth for scrutineering ready for Nicky Grist stages tomorrow
1 left ready for Pacemaker tomorrow

It was a bit of a mixed weekend up in Dunoon on the Dunoon presents Argyll rally.
We managed to finish thank goodness with so many cars off on stages 4 and 5 that was no mean feat due to the nature of the stages and the mud left by the "offs".
There is some work to be done on the handling at the back of the car. She was nervous on landings and with such bumpy stages and lots of jumps we lost loads of time and it was a little hairy at times. This and the rain is probably why we finished 10 places lower than last year at 38th.
Think we'll use the ranges at Trawsfynydd to sort this issue. Apart from that she never missed a beat although I may need to get something to make these switches glow in the dark and remember my reading specs for the road book. We nearly missed a regroup is all that needs to be said here π I'm pleased to say my note calling was much better for Gary this year with only 2 calls on the corner π
DFO suffered an ignition switch failure and due to the terrible signal they were unable to get the message through to the troops (well, Jamie lol) to come fix her. Took 2 minutes to do a roadside fix to get back then 10 minutes in the morning to make good. Due to personal reasons and the shocking weather the crew decided to spend Saturday watching.
All in all a good weekend and the event ran well with no cancellations or delays π
Need to get this weekend prep finished now..........
Regroup
Great morning. Loads of crews off from the mud left after all the crews that went off last night so we're being a bit cautious (old timers see lol)
Enjoying the stages though π
Dunoon Town shenanigans
Having some fun on stage 1 π

Everything is ready to go. Late start for us with a start time of 20.33 and due back to the finish just before midnight π³
Some pics for you........
Argyll recce
Recce rally argyll π
Kielder forest rally last weekend with Neil and Dom.
They set some cracking times with 3 out of 6 class winning times. Definitely on it boys.
It was a disappointing end mind with them getting a mahoosive penalty which saw them finish last and 4th in class.
How a simple wire break can have such a big effect. A broken wire on the harness to the ecu broke giving them a misfire on 2 cylinders which took too long to find.

Missing out this year....big time. Wasn't meant to be unfortunately but there'll be no stopping us next year π€
That feeling when you finish Rally Barbados.
