A huge well done to our U8 Amigos team who attended the Salisbury Tournament at the weekend! For the second year in a row, the boys were crowned U8 champions after an exciting final that was decided by a penalty shootout.
Fantastic effort from everyone involved, well done boys 👏🏼
Have a read below to follow their journey!

Wahay! What a group! The Amigos attended Salisbury City’s FC tournament. The boys got off to a great start with a 3-0 win and didn’t look back! They were fantastic all day, goals throughout the whole team! They were relentless, we beat Salisbury city 3-0 in the semi final and then we met a very good Stoneham side in the final. Our 8th and final game we went 1-0 down, Stoneham were fantastic and had the boys pinned in for a lot the game with Max keeping the boys in the game with some fantastic saves. The boys counter attacked and Jesse smashed one past their keeper making it 1-1. Dreaded penalties again… Max wasn’t done yet coming up with 2 brilliant penalty saves and Yunus smashing the winning penalty away in the bottom corner. First team to win 2 consecutive Salisbury tournaments back to back apparently!
8 games
13 goals scored
7 clean sheets

Well done boys! 🐲🐲🟡🔵

A roundup from this weekend’s games as the season begins to wind down and tournament season gets underway. A big congratulations to our U9 Eagles for reaching the semi-finals at the Wimborne tournament after a dramatic penalty shootout! Well done to all our players for their efforts this weekend! 👏🏼

🐲 U9 Eagles
Eagles are purring, the talons are out and we are spreading our wings!!
5 of the best against a Braishfield team we have got to know over the years and who can certainly move the ball well.
The first quarter was tight, Eagles on top but just couldnt make the most of chances being created, we reassured the boys to keep up their intesity and to keep communicating and they would get their rewards.
Sure enough the rest of the game fell into a pattern of Eagles control.
Defensiviely we were solid, calm and found our targets with most of our passes.
Our midfield worked so hard in and out of possesion, we lost count of the number of interceptions which won us the ball back.
Our wingers kept pressure on and continually moved the ball forward and up front our constant movement made space for everyone else to run into.
Our goals included Fraser opening his account for the season...finishing cooly from a move down the right.
Bailey scoring a bit of a worldy from distance.
Mason getting his reward for hard running and and technical finish from close range.
The most pleasing goal was scored by Theo stretching his legs through the middle to finishing a perfect cut back from the left this was made by a lightning counter attack involving numerous passes and forward thinking.
A result today made from pack pressing, relaxing on the ball and trusting each other; as well as individual confidence and endless ability.
Be proud today Eagles this morning was sensational and everything we could have asked for....truly the reason we put the effort in as coaches.
Let's keep the momentum rolling for tomorrow as the tournement season begins!
Hardest part of today was thinking about player of the match. Each and every player stepped up, ran their hearts out and put in a performance above and beyond previous weeks!
Ultimately we recognise Theo for his alrounder performace, solid at the back, winning personal battles, making incisive passes and finishing like a pro for his goal.

🐲 U9 Thunders

⚡ Thunders U9 Match Report: A Thrilling Contest Against Upper Clatford! ⚡
The Match Overview
What a fantastic display of football from the boys yesterday! We went head-to-head in a brilliant battle against Upper Clatford. The first two quarters were a wonderfully close, end-to-end contest where the boys matched their opponents every step of the way. While Upper Clatford started to gain momentum in the final two quarters, it provided exactly the kind of tough, competitive test that helps our young players grow and build resilience. Most importantly, the boys never stopped giving it their all.
Embracing New Challenges
Going into yesterday's game, we decided to shake things up and challenge the boys by rotating a lot of them into brand-new positions. Stepping out of their comfort zones is how they improve, and they handled it brilliantly! As coaches, we learned a tremendous amount about the incredible versatility in this squad, and we hope this gave the players a much deeper awareness and appreciation of the different roles across the pitch.
Executing the Game Plan
Our core objectives for the match were simple: put in the hard work, apply high pressure, and play some fast, flowing football. Despite the shift in momentum later in the game, the team completely delivered on these goals, earning themselves a massive gold star! It is incredibly rewarding to see our quick passing game really starting to click into place. The boys are looking up, moving the ball beautifully, and showing fantastic teamwork.
🏆 Player of the Match
A massive congratulations to Jackson, who takes home this week's Player of the Match! His work rate was absolutely phenomenal. His grueling, non-stop effort and determination across the pitch set the standard for the team yesterday. An incredibly well-deserved award—great job, Jackson!
Up the Thunders! We couldn't be prouder of the effort and the lessons learned this weekend.

🐲 Flames
Clarendon are always a tough side to play against and today unfortunately the Flames goal drought continued.
The girls did make plenty of chances however with Morgan, Leila and Aria all coming close to scoring.
Special mentions to Leila, Morgan and Sarah today for their persistent work rate.
Thanks to Ella for being our Ref again today
Player of the week went to Aria for working hard, making several great runs and some great passing and crossing.

🐲 Hawks U12 Girls
Hawks U12 Girls vs Fordingbridge Turks U13 Girls – Match Report
Coming off the highs of lifting the Plate Final last week, we knew this fixture would be as much about mindset as ability. The SP6 derby is always a tough one – and with many of the girls knowing each other from school, there’s never an inch given.
We started the game slowly and were quickly punished, going two goals down. We struggled early on to deal with the long ball from their keeper and the physical presence of their number 10, which made it a difficult opening spell. Credit to the girls though – heads never dropped.
At the back, Millicent, Emilia, Jaz and Megan began to work out how to manage the threat, while Elodie was excellent throughout with safe hands and strong kicking. That solid foundation allowed us to grow into the game. Emily, Rose and Evelyn started driving hard at the opposition defence, and it was Rose who struck first for the Hawks with a superb long-range effort to make it 2–1.
Momentum began to swing our way and before long we were level. Bethany finished from a tight angle, the ball just creeping over the line – a goal that summed up her work rate.
At half-time the message was simple: keep going and keep playing football. The response was excellent. The defence was outstanding in the second half — organised, composed and determined. Millcient, Emilia, Jaz and Megan were dominant, winning challenges early and cutting off attacks before they could develop, while Elodie continued to command her area calmly. This allowed the team to push higher up the pitch and play with confidence.
With that platform, the midfield trio of Bethany, Chopper and Indie controlled the tempo, while Mila, Ava and Isla made constant darting runs that stretched the defence.
The moment of the game arrived with Rose again at the heart of it – driving run, powerful shot, and a brilliant save from the keeper. But Mila reacted quickest, and from an acute angle absolutely thumped the ball into the roof of the net. Cue wild celebrations from the whole Hawks team.
That goal allowed the girls to relax and express themselves, and the football that followed was excellent. Isla calmly finished after a perfectly weighted through ball from Bethany. Evelyn then produced a solo run from inside her own half, beating four players before scoring a fantastic goal. To round it off, Bethany met a throw-in on the half-volley (Van Basten esque) and smashed it into the net to complete a brilliant comeback.
An outstanding performance full of resilience, teamwork and quality football. This result puts the Hawks U12 Girls in a very strong league position with 11 played and 8 wins, and more importantly shows just how far they’ve come as a team.

A terrific effort from everyone involved. 💙⚽

🐲 U9 Eagles Wimborne tournament
First weekend of May ......let tournament season begin!!! Wimborne!
It was a rollercoaster of emotions today.
Group stages.
We started so brightly. The Eagles won 3, and lost 1 meaning our last game in the group stage was a winner takes all match v Sturminster. It ended 2 2, meaning that ourselves and Sturminster were on the same points, same goal difference, same goals scored and same goals conceded! The decider......penalties.
We won the penalties 3 - 2 in sudden death! Toby saved one and Theo put away the deciding pen!
Semi finals.....v Parley
A battle, played with heart and desire. Our shots just didnt go in and Parley nicked one with about 3 minutes to go. We tried, but the equaliser didnt come.
We are super proud of the boys. They never give up and play some great football too!

More silverware for the club! 🏆

This time it was the U8 Amigos who brought home the honours at the ESFR Tournament. After holding their nerve to win a dramatic penalty shootout, the boys soon booked their place in the final and went on to be crowned champions!

A fantastic achievement and now the proud owners of a shiny new trophy. Well done boys! 👏⚽

Have a read below to follow their journey to the final.

After Saturdays win the Amigos attended the ESFR tournament Sunday full of confidence. So many strong, good sides there including the current JPL champions and we knew the boys would have to dig deep if they were to come away with any silverware.
Their first group game came up against a strong Moordown side and the boys managed to bag 2 early goals and then keep Moordown at bay with a 2-0 win.
Second game they played Highcliffe Hawks Fire which finished as a 0-0 draw. A very one sided game but we just couldn’t find the back of the net.
Third game we lost to a good BRS side but the game could have gone either way with 2 very attacking teams.
Fourth game the Amigos were starting to find their form as they beat Bransgore 3-1.
QF We played a strong Highcliffe Hawks Ice team but the boys momentum through out the day was growing and growing which the Amigos comfortably saw out 3-1 winners.
Semi final we came up against Moordown again who also had raised their game, it was end to end football finishing at 1-1 going to dreaded penalties. All the Amigos kept calm and kept their composure winning the shootout 4-3 without missing a penalty.
The final…. Who else would we play other than Fundamental Football academy, a big rivalry with a team that we meet so often in tournament football. The boys started fast, focused and saved their best performance til last. Austin finding the corner with an excellent strike before Max making 2 incredible saves that kept the Amigos in it and saw them crowned champions!! Our first tournament of the season and the boys are off to a great start! Twice we’ve met Fundamental in a final and twice the boys have got the job done! Every player gave 100% and we couldn’t ask for more. The maturity and team spirit is incredible for an U8s team. Myself and James are such proud coaches. The boys always find a way even when they’re not at their best.

A huge congratulations to our U12 Girls, who competed in the South Wiltshire Cup Final this weekend and proudly brought home the Plate for the second year running! 🏆⚽
What an incredible achievement and a real testament to the hard work, determination, and team spirit these girls have shown all season. To defend their title and win it again is something they should all be extremely proud of.
We’re sure everyone will join us in celebrating this fantastic success and congratulating the team, coaches, and supporters who have helped make it possible.
Be sure to have a read below for all the highlights from a brilliant final and a memorable victory! 👏💙

It was the plate final today for the Hawks against a very good Upper Clatford team over at Alderbury. Sean's long haul flight allowed him to strategically plan tactics for 14 hours last night but within 2 minutes the game took a sad twist as our rock at the back Caity twisted her ankle and had to come off. Evelyn moved in to centre back and her, Emilia and Millicent were excellent repelling the attacks, tackling, remaining calm on the ball and playing the ball forward. In the middle Chopper (Ava G) and Indie were relentless in their physical battles and on the wings Megan and Rose were causing problems alongside Bethany up front who was putting pressure on their defenders and holding the ball up well and playing some beautiful through balls. The game settled and Rose went on a very strong run up the wing, beating 3 girls and coming close with her cross. She wasn't to be denied for long as she again found herself in space on the right chasing down a clearance, she beat the goalie to the ball with a calm finish from distance to put us 1-0 up. Megan than battled past 3 defenders on the left wing but her cross was well held by their keeper. With plenty of girls today the positions got rotated a bit, Fleur, Jasmine, Isla, Emily, Mila and Ava May all joined the action. We knew today that the girls would have to be at their absolute best and they would have to win their individual battles and every single one of them did that. Fleur went on a great run, battling past 3 of their defenders and earning a corner, Emily had her own game long battle with their central midfielder, Jasmine made a couple of crucial last ditch tackles. There was some intricate passing and great link up and wing play from Isla, Mila and Ava May but at half time the score remained 1-0. In to the 2nd half and the match remained a tight one, both teams were so evenly matched. The girls defended as a team from front to back they pressured and battled fantastically but Upper Clatford did get an equaliser from a long throw. Then their tails were up and their striker found herself through on goal, Elodie rushed out and made a smart save then got up to make an incredible save from the rebound, growing about 3 feet and tipping the ball over the bar from a powerful drive, 100% save of the season. There was still time for more drama, Bethany took aim from distance, it was a fantastic effort but their goalie made a great save back pedaling to tip the ball away. Both teams gave everything but we couldn't be separated and the game went to penalties. The shootout was nervy, Elodie made another fantastic save down to her left, Rose and Fleur both tucked away their penalties calmly which left 1 penalty to go, Isla stepped up with the chance to win the game and tucked it in to the corner to win the Hawks the plate for the 2nd season in a row. Every single girl played their part and gave everything both in this game and the cup fixtures before that got them to the final. A big thank you to those who also came to cheer on the team, it meant a lot to the girls to have such great support. We are so proud of these girls, they are, in the nicest way possible, a bizarrely bonkers group but as a team they gel and look out for each other. It's an honour to coach them.

Final Score
Alderholt Hawks 1 - 1 Upper Clatford
(3 -2 pens)

Goals - Rose ⚽️

Player(s) of the Game

Elodie - Unbelievable double save to massive applause from the crowd, a penalty stopper and heroic performance.

Caity - Without Caity in previous games we may not have got to the final, injured so early on and massively missed, get well soon!

Evelyn - Captains performance, dropped in to an unfamiliar position for the game and played it like a natural.

Emilia - Strong, determined tackling and calm on the ball to find team mates with her passing.

Jasmine - Got thoroughly stuck in, made a crucial last minute interception to tackle a girl who was through on goal.

Millicent - best performance in a Hawks shirt, so calm, so many sprint backs and so many tackles, solid as a rock.

Megan - played 2 roles and excelled in both, her tenacity throughout was fantastic both with and without the ball.

Ava May - really battled hard to win back the ball on several occasions, her link up play was brilliant, always finding a team mste with her passes.

Emily - so determined, had an ongoing tussle throughout with their central midfielder but was strong and held her off well to keep the ball and build attacks.

Chopper - may need new shin pads after a big midfield battle today, her calmness on the ball and exceptional dribbling helped push us forward throughout and she got a huge applause from the crowd for her header from a goal kick.

Mila - was up for it from the moment she came on, found some fantastic positions, her movement was excellent and she battled brilliantly.

Indie - has come so far in such a short space of time, not phased by being in a final she was brave, dug in and battled hard in midfield, winning the ball back for the team and set up attacks time after time.

Rose - took the game by the scruff of the neck from the start, tackling well, making dominant marauding runs, great crosses and an excellently taken goal and penalty.

Fleur - dribbling exceptional today, chopping this way then the other, fighting to win the ball back and scored a crucial penalty under pressure in the most nonchalant of ways.

Bethany - her vision was exceptional, picking out delightful through balls and not afraid to do the hard work in winning possession for the team either, but for a good save she nearly scored and unbelievable winner.

Isla - got herself in to great positions, hassled their defenders to help win the ball back, nearly got a goal in the game but got her chance from the penalty spot and scored to seal the win.
