A big well done to Dylan and Oscar, who have been chosen by the coaches as this week’s Trainers of the Week for their efforts across Monday and Wednesday’s training sessions! 👏⚽️

Both boys showed great effort, attitude and commitment throughout the week and fully deserved the recognition.

A great win for the boys today in a fiercely contested game.

While results aren’t the most important thing at this age, the hard work, teamwork and character on show certainly were. Going two goals behind against a physical side, the boys showed great determination to fight their way back and secure the win. 💪

⭐ Captain Jack led the team well today, scoring twice and putting in a great shift.

🧤 Man of the Match – Carter, selected by the opposition coach after an excellent performance. Some brilliant saves, quick off his line and plenty of bravery when coming out to win the ball.

⚽ Special mention to Max, who grabbed the winner and worked tirelessly throughout the game.

A fantastic team effort from start to finish.

A big well done to both our Vale of Leven Whites & Reds today! 👏⚽️

The Whites put in a brilliant performance in a fiercely contested local derby against Newton Rock, while the Reds faced a tough fixture against Port Glasgow and worked hard right to the final whistle. 💪

Today we also introduced team captains, giving the boys the chance to take on a little extra responsibility and leadership.

Great to see the Vale of Leven Blues doing so well and competing brilliantly in their 3rd league fixture in the Glasgow League! 🔵⚽️

This week, we’ve introduced the role of captain to the team, with Aaron taking the armband last week. 💙

Giving the kids this responsibility helps build confidence, creates a sense of importance and belonging, and encourages leadership, communication and teamwork. We’ll be rotating the captaincy so everyone gets the opportunity to take on the role.

Another positive step in their development, both on and off the park. ⚽️💙🤍

A massive thank you to Musselburgh Windsor FC 2017s for inviting the Vale of Leven 2017s along to the Kenny Ritchie Festival of Football today! 👏⚽️

The boys were brilliant from start to finish. Great effort, plenty of goals, some fantastic football and, most importantly, loads of smiles along the way! 💪😁

The boys gave it everything and represented the Vale brilliantly winning 3 games and losing out on 2 by the odd goal. We couldn’t ask for much more from them! 👏

Thanks again to Musselburgh Windsor for hosting a cracking festival and to all the parents for the usual fantastic support. ❤️

Now we look forward to next Saturday, when the Whites hit the road again and head to Rosyth! 🚗⚽️

A competitive, entertaining game from start to finish, with both sets of boys showing tremendous fighting spirit and determination for their teams. In the end, a draw was probably a fair result, with plenty of positives for both sides to take into the new season.
