🏉 Year 9 British Cup 🏉
YDA 17-31 Brynteg (3T - 5T)
An incredible effort from our Year 9 boys today as they went toe-to-toe with one of the strongest sides in Wales for this age group, Brynteg, in the British Cup! 💪
Despite the scoreline, the boys can hold their heads high after a performance full of heart, determination and physicality. They fought for absolutely everything, matched their opponents for large periods and made a very talented Brynteg side work incredibly hard for their victory. Just a couple of lapses in concentration proved the difference on the day.
⭐ Men of the Match: An almost impossible decision today with so many outstanding performances. Joey Shreeve, Wil Elliot and Henry Huang were immense up front, putting in huge shifts and leading from the front.
Two players who particularly caught the eye were Cai Canton and Sonnie Stuckey, who were exceptional throughout! 👏
Our attention now turns to the Welsh Cup with this year group, and today’s performance is anything to go by, there is plenty to be excited about.
The result might not have gone our way, but the performance showed just how far this group has come and what they’re capable of achieving! 💪
Ymdrech arbennig, da iawn bois 👍
