RIP SIR BILLY BOSTON 🕊️

Today Rugby League has lost one of its true giants.

Born in Tiger Bay, Cardiff, Sir Billy Boston went from the streets of South Wales to becoming one of the greatest Rugby League players the game has ever seen.

A Welshman. A trailblazer. A record breaker. A Rugby League legend.

His achievements on the field speak for themselves, but his legacy goes far beyond tries, trophies and records. Billy broke down barriers, inspired generations and paved the way for so many who followed him.

For us here in Wales, there will always be an extra sense of pride knowing that one of the greatest names in the history of Rugby League came from our little corner of the world.

The game is richer because Billy Boston was part of it.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone at Wigan Warriors at this incredibly sad time.

Rest in peace, Sir Billy.

Tonight we celebrate the incredible achievements of our West Wales Jets Under 12s and Under 14s at our end-of-season Awards Night in Ammanford. 💙🩷

Every player has played their part in building something special this season. From first tackles to unforgettable tries, from hard work at training to representing the badge with pride, tonight is about recognising every bit of that effort.

💙🩷 WEST WALES JETS MINIS — CLASS OF 2026 🩷💙

Yesterday we celebrated our brilliant Under 9s, Under 10s and Under 11s at their presentation day.

In only our **second year**, these young players are already pushing boundaries, embracing a completely new sport and falling in love with rugby league.

Every tackle, every run, every pass and every game has helped them grow. They will now return to rugby union stronger, more confident and better players than they were last year and that is exactly what this pathway is all about.

We couldn’t be prouder of every single player, coach, volunteer and parent who has helped make this season possible.

The West Wales Jets Class of 2026 has set the standard.

And we are only just getting started. 🚀
