After another extended break due to multiple frustrating postponements, the boys were back in action this morning and what a return it was. A massive win at such a crucial stage of the season, the lads set the tone early on and didnโt let that drop, controlling the play from start to finish.
On another day it could have been even more but full credits to the boys for a top performance and the defence unit keeping yet another clean sheet.
โญ๏ธ- the 4th MOTM award for our skipper this season but itโs hard to argue any different when he keeps putting in performances like this. Another hattrick today, taking his goal tally to 30 for the season. He just makes it look very easy at times.
๐ซ - A slightly strange one this week with our MOTM also taking home the donkey award. Even with a lovely ๐ฉ, we simply cannot ignore another entry to this seasons open goal misses collection from - On the end of a cross, a couple of yards out, with the goal wide openโฆ youโd put your house on him scoring. Unfortunately for the skipper, the ball is probably still travelling across P20 now.
With the season now reaching the business end, thereโs no time to switch off and let any complacency creep in. Eleven league games played so far, ten wins and one draw. A record to be proud of, but the job isnโt done yet and the boys know that.

The boys knew it would be a much tougher test this morning than the last time we faced Andover Ravens, when they could only field 9 players, and that was certainly the case.
A far more competitive game this time around, but the lads got the job done and kept the league momentum rolling. Not our best performance, with a few sloppy bits of play, but we stayed solid and were rarely under any serious trouble at the back.
Disappointing not to come away with the clean sheet for the defence and ๐งคbut another 3 points in the bag โ
โญ๏ธ - MOTM awarded to - Coming off the bench 30 minutes into the match and having a massive impact on the game. An assist with his first touch, a goal and having the beating of his man several times to create some great chances.
๐ซ - 2 in 2 donkey awards for our cruise lover - An absolute sitter from a couple yards out after skipper put it on a plate for him, means he simply cannot avoid donkey 2 appearances running.
Onto next weekโs Open Cup Quarter Final against the Bell.

Second cup game in a row for the boys this morning, this time against AFC Chestnut in the North Hants Chris Price Cup - Semi-Final.
With the pitch conditions far from ideal once again, the lads refused to let that affect their standards. From the first whistle, we were in complete control. The only frustration at half-time was that the scoreline didnโt truly reflect our dominance, going in just one goal up.
The message at the break was simple: stay patient, continue what we were doing and the goals would come. And they certainly did.
An early second-half goal settled any doubt and, from that moment on, the intensity lifted another level. Big individual battles were being won all over the pitch and the boys were well and truly up for it. A red card each shifted the momentum briefly with a bit of a pause in the game, but the lads responded well and remained in complete control until the final whistle.
In the end, a commanding 6-0 victory and with it, a place in the North Hants Final.
โญ๏ธ - Joint MOTM this week awarded to both - Both worked tirelessly off the ball and showed real quality when in possession. To cap off their brilliant performances, Ollie scored an outstanding header at a crucial moment to put us 2โ0 up and Ben was in the right place at the right time to give us a three-goal cushion, grabbing his second goal of the season.
๐ซ- A few in the running for this weeks donkey award but the winner is turns up 25 minutes late to meet time in a worse for wear condition after his antics out the night before, wears thermal leggings while playing and manages to pick up his first ever card with a straight red in the second half, tough day at the office for Scotty.
The first cup final in the clubโs history secured, we now wait to find out our opponents.

Finally, a return to action for the boys today after weeks of postponements due to the terrible weather. Even though all other games at P20 were called off minutes before kick-off, our ref gave us the green light and the game went ahead.
From the first whistle the pitch was a complete mud bath, and the rain kept pouring, but the lads still managed to play some decent football in horrendous conditions, especially in the first half. The final few minutes were a nervy watch with only one goal in it, but the boys dug deep and secured their place in the Junior Cup semi-final which is all that matters.
โญ๏ธ MOM: takes the MOM award after producing some magic footwork for his goal and being a constant nightmare for the opposition defence all game.๐ช
๐ซ Donkey Award: After 6 months away travelling for work somehow thought using a 1/4 zip as a thermal and wearing gloves was acceptable. The stand-in gaffers were having none of it!

A ruthless performance from the boys this morning in their return to league action. With the opposition beginning the game with just 10 men, the lads knew it was vital to still give 100%, avoid any hint of complacency, and stay fully focused on the task at hand.
Heading into half-time with a commanding 5โ0 lead, the objective was clear for the second half: maintain performance levels, keep a clean sheet, and push on for as many goals as possible. The boys did exactly that, scoring another 7 in the second half.
Massive credit to Andover Ravens for showing up despite being a man down before kick-off, and even more so for continuing to compete in the second half with just 9 men.
No Man of the Match or Donkey this week, just a professional, all-round team performance from start to finish. Another clean sheet the icing on the cake for the defensive unit.
