❤️ 2:59PM - There will be a minute’s silence before Kick-Off in memory of Callum McVeigh, a former Portadown player who sadly passed away following a tragic accident on Christmas Eve. A young footballer taken far too soon.

💙 3:38PM - We ask supporters of both clubs to come together for 'Davy 'Twin' Larmour'. A lifelong Glenavon supporter, a member of so14 and a member of Portadown Defenders FB.

'Twin' who will be watching LIVE from Manchester, where he is currently receiving treatment and is not only missing the game but has missed Christmas and precious time with Lauren and their children.

🗣️ On the 38th minute, please join us in chanting “𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐫” to let him know he is not alone.

Veteran Irish League striker declares 'this is my last game' after coaching appointment

Very sad news indeed and we can only echo the sentiments of our friends in the Victoria Glenavon Supporters Club at this difficult time.

Thoughts with the Johnston family and connections. 💙

Be Just and Fear Not.

The committee, office-bearers and members of the Victoria Glenavon Supporters Club are saddened to learn of the passing of former Glenavon midfielder, Sammy Johnston.

Sammy played for the club from 1994-97, winning the Irish Cup, Floodlit Cup, and Co. Antrim Shield during his time at Mourneview Park. His most notable moment came when he scored the only goal of a UEFA Cup tie against Iceland's FH Hafnarfjörður, to set up a second-round fixture against German giants, Werder Bremen.

We offer our condolences to Sammy's family at this sad time.
