Weโ€™re excited to announce that will be running two weeks of football camps during the upcoming October half term.

Weโ€™re aware not all schools have the two week break, but we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to attend and enjoy another action packed week of football fun - with medals, certificates and plenty of prizes to be won.

Boys and girls of all abilities, aged 4-12 (Year R-8) are welcome to attend and participate.

As a team of experienced coaches, we understand the importance of recognising the value of grassroots volunteers and the coaches that give up their time and energy, to support our young players in the best way possible.

More often than not, grassroots teams are run and held together by a small network of parents or volunteer coaches. Weโ€™re also aware of the struggles and pressure that comes with providing engaging, meaningful and inclusive practice for all.

Thatโ€™s why we want to share our experience and knowledge with grassroots coaches within our communities. Whether thatโ€™s supporting, designing or delivering sessions with your valued input and support.

If youโ€™re looking for an experienced coach to help support your players development, or want new ideas on how to keep your sessions accessible and challenging for all, weโ€™re keen to help.

If youโ€™re interested in partnering with our academy, weโ€™re keen to learn how we can help.

Firstly, we would like to once again thank everyone in both the local community and wider sporting family for their incredible generosity on our funding page, which we have been absolutely blown away by.

We would like to provide you all with a further update, following investigations carried out since the incident occurred.

Upon detailed examination of our CCTV, it has revealed the culprit to be an adult using a hammer to break the windows, not kids with catapults as previously thought.

This makes things even more concerning, as it was simply a mindless and premeditated act of vandalism, against both Ashford Hockey Club and Kennington Juniors Football Club.

The police are now actively seeking the individual in question and we will be shortly sharing the footage across all platforms.

Our club secretary will appear on Meridian news tonight talking about the incident and its impact on the two clubs involved.

We appreciate everyone's ongoing and unwavering support and will continue to keep you all informed of any further developments.

Chris Smith
Chairman
Ashford Hockey Club

๐Ÿ’› FROM US ALL, THANK YOU ๐Ÿ–ค

In what has been a very sad and upsetting time for everyone connected with Ball Lane, the support shown over the last few days has been truly incredible.

In just a couple of days, over ยฃ8,600 has been raised to help repair the damage to the clubhouse and pavilion at Ball Lane, used by Ashford Hockey Club and Kennington Juniors.

The response from the whole community has been amazing. Hockey clubs, football clubs, players, parents, families, local businesses and so many individuals have donated, shared the fundraiser, sent messages and offered their support. Every single contribution, no matter how big or small, has meant so much.

Ball Lane means so much to so many. Every week, it provides a place for over 1,000 people, from young children through to adults, to play sport, make friends and be part of a community.

What has been an incredibly sad time has also shown just how special our local community is. There is still work to be done, but the kindness and generosity shown by so many will make a huge difference.

To everyone who has donated, shared, reached out or supported in any way, from us all, thank you. ๐Ÿ’›
