The 2018 Tigers lifted the cup at the Crumlin United John Stewart Memorial Tournament yesterday 🏆
The lads topped their group playing some excellent football throughout the day. A very mature performance from everyone, with some brilliantly worked team goals on display. The link-up play between Eoin, Lorcán and Bryson was a joy to watch, while the usual suspects of Alfie, Patton and Mattie were unrelenting at the back as always.
The semi final saw us come up against a very physical St Mary’s side. However, our lads stood up to the challenge brilliantly. Patton produced a number of outstanding last-man tackles to keep St Mary’s out, while Alfie seemed to win every ball that came his way. As the game wore on we began to take control, and Bryson stepped up when it mattered most, bagging himself two lovely goals to send us through to the final.
Under the lights, the final against Crewe United was a brilliant contest. A moment of quality between the two forwards broke the deadlock when Eoin played a clever short corner to Lorcán, who turned his defender and rifled the ball into the top corner. Crewe responded quickly with an excellent volley from a set piece of their own leaving the sides level at full time.
So it was penalties again for the Tigers, and once again Mattie proved to be the hero. Four outstanding penalty saves in a row gave the lads the advantage before Patton calmly slotted home a brilliant winning penalty to seal the win in sudden death 💪
Going unbeaten throughout the entire tournament, made it incredibly difficult to pick a Player of the Day as every single player played their part. In the end, all the coaches agreed that Mattie was the deserved winner. His performances in goal all day were outstanding, and his penalty shootout heroics were the difference when it mattered most. Well done Mattie 👏
A fantastic achievement for a fantastic team who have went from strength to strength this year ❤️

The 2018 Tigers were crowned champions at the Rathfriland Tournament today 🏆
An unbelievable effort from Lorcán, Daniel, Alfie, Patton, Harry B, Bryson and Mattie, bouncing back brilliantly after last week’s disappointment to finish the season in style 🔥
The boys finished second in the group, before playing an incredibly tight semi final that eventually went to penalties. Mattie was outstanding in nets with three penalty saves. Lorcán stepped up to put us into sudden death, Daniel kept us alive and Harry B calmly slotted home the winning penalty to send the lads into the final.
The final vs Oxford Sunnyside was another huge battle. Against a strong and physical side, Alfie and Patton were relentless at the back with too many goal-saving interventions to count. It looked destined for penalties again, but when the chance finally came the lads up top done the business. Some quick feet from Lorcán created the opening for Bryson, who smashed home a wonder strike in the final minutes for a dramatic winner ⚽️🔥
After four final defeats and the heartbreak of last week, these boys could not have been more deserving of their first trophy. The determination, teamwork and character they showed all day was exceptional ❤️
All the coaches are incredibly proud of the entire team. A special mention also goes to Mattie, who deservedly won Player of the Tournament. Outstanding in goals all day and absolutely rock solid when it mattered most 👏👏👏
🎉🐅Up the Tigers 🐅 🎉

🏆U12 MUYL TROPHY WINNERS🏆
The 2014 Panthers ended the season on a high by lifting the U12 trophy in a tight game against Rathfriland.
The lads were slow to start and it was Rathfriland who grabbed the lead midway through the half and that’s how the first half ended.
But at half time the boys reset, and were spurred on by first team coach Robbie Rock in attendance, and we seen them get off to a flyer in the second half when Jamie forced home a corner from Dylan.
However shortly after, we witnessed a screamer from Nathan just inside the Rathfriland half, who fired a rocket into the top corner. Harrison then added a third with a stunning finish shortly after.
Rathfriland came back into the game and scored late on to set up a nervy finish, but the Town held strong until the final whistle.
Every last one of the lads deserves so much credit today and also through the season. Well done to them all and enjoy the celebrations.
MOTM went to the outstanding Hugo and a mention for Sean who pulled off some great saves 🔴⚫

Final Glory for Fantastic Panthers!!!
The 2015 Panthers finished off the season over at Annagh United 3G this morning in the League Trophy Final vs Hanover Youth Colts.
Hot on the heels of an 8 game undefeated run (7 wins & 1 draw) the lads were full of confidence going into the match. It was, however, Hanover that opened the scoring on 15 minutes.
The first half was a great battle with both sides fighting it out to get the upper hand. Banbridge had the ball in the net just before half time but it was disallowed for offside. 0-1 at the break.
The Panthers lifted it a couple of gears in the second period applying a lot of pressure on the opposition backline. Another couple of disallowed goals for the boys and it looked to many that it wouldn't be their day. This wee team made sure that wasn't the case.
The lads kept battling and pushing until Henry got the equaliser mid-way through the second half. The remainder of the game was a tense affair and late on both keepers made outstanding saves, Jackie stopping a great effort bound for the corner of the net with seconds left. 1-1 at full time and extra time beckoned.
This team were not going to let go of this opportunity and from the restart dominated extra time. Finally, 3 minutes into the first period of E/T, Sé raced clear one on one with the keeper and the expert marksman made sure of his finish to put the boys 2-1 ahead!
In the last couple of minutes of E/T, Hanover had a series of corners and all that hard work at training during the week paid off as the Town boys cleared their lines each time. The final whistle sounded sparking much deserved celebrations from the players, coaches, parents and supporters.
Man of the Match (picked by referee) was Sé Thompson, absolutely superb once again and scored the winner ⚽
Many thanks to S.M. Vint & Company for their very generous sponsorship of warm up tops for the boys and coaches today 👏 👏

The 2018 Tigers had an excellent day at the Armagh tournament, finishing runners-up in the shield after a heartbreaking defeat on penalties in the final.
The lads breezed through the group stages playing some brilliant football, with every player working hard and doing their bit for the team throughout the day.
The semi final vs Glenavon was a very tight contest. The lads defended exceptionally well and stayed disciplined throughout. It eventually came down to a bit of good fortune from a well worked throw in that gave us the lead, and thankfully one goal was enough to book our place in the final.
The final vs St Mary’s was easily the most competitive game of the day. It was end to end throughout, with both teams creating chances and neither side giving much away. In the end penalties were needed to separate them. Despite an amazing effort from Mattie in nets, the lads narrowly lost out 1–0 in the shootout.
The determination, passion and bravery shown by the boys all day was nothing short of exceptional. To concede only one goal from open play across the entire tournament says everything about the effort and attitude from the whole squad. They should all be really proud of themselves after a brilliant day of football 👏🔴⚫

2015 Panthers win at Sunny Havelock!
The 2015 Panthers finished the regular season fixtures with a 4-1 victory over Ambassadors Blues this morning. It was a tight first half with chances at premium but the Town lads took the lead after a nice move where Owen slipped the ball through for Sé who finished emphatically into the top corner. 1-0 at the break.
In the second half the boys started to gain the upper hand and created many goalscoring opportunities, playing some lovely football and were rock solid defensively. The Town added another 3 goals through Henry, Sé and Archie. The pick of the bunch came from Sé after Tommy threaded a pinpoint pass though and it was another sublime finish from the young man. Ambassadors grabbed a consolation goal late on to make the scoreline 4-1.
Every one of the 13 lads put in a tremendous shift today, the squad has become so strong over the course of the season. Their effort, determination and willingness to listen and learn has definitely paid off 👏👏
Man of the Match - Caoimhín. Strong performance throughout, rock solid at the back 👏👏

The 2016 Panthers played the A1 derby against Dromore yesterday at Cheney Park.
Both teams put in a lot of work and it really was a great game of football to watch.
The Panthers played some lovely football, with well worked passing sequences all over the pitch.
Man of the match was Christian, who played in a deep role and took leadership of the game, communicated really well with his teammates and was central to everything the team did today.
Well done Panthers 🔴⚫
