💪🏻 Strength training mindset if your over 30 💪🏻
Strength training over 30 shouldn’t be a pain. As our bodies age the stress and stimuli can soon take its toll if we still have the same mindset as we do in our late teens and early 20s, as still having this mindset can lead to injuries, pain, stiffness and actually hinder us as we get older.
So resetting our mindsets with these simple steps will help us training for years to come, prevent injury and lasting pains.
💡 TRAIN SMARTER, NOT JUST HARDER
This isn’t about proving you can still deadlift more than your younger cousin who eats six Pop-Tarts a day. It’s about longevity. The goal? Getting stronger while keeping your joints, tendons, and ego intact.
💡 MOBILITY IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Think of mobility like oiling the Tin Man’s joints-skip it, and you’ll be creaking and groaning before you finish your warm-up. A few minutes of dynamic stretching before lifting and foam rolling after can save you from walking like a zombie the next day.

Look, benching 150kg is cool… until you throw out your back trying to pick up a laundry basket.
Here’s why functional strength is the real GOAT:
1. Real-Life Strength > Gym Strength
You won’t find a barbell in the wild. Functional training makes you stronger for actual life stuff—like carrying groceries in one trip (because two trips are for quitters).
2. Joints That Don’t Hate You
Traditional weightlifting can make your body feel like an old creaky door. Functional training keeps your shoulders, knees, and back in one piece—so you don’t sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies every time you move.
3. Core & Stability = Less Falling Over Like a Toddler
If your core is weak, your balance is trash. Functional training stabilizes your body so you don’t randomly trip over nothing and pretend it was “a crack in the floor.”

🚨 Wifey Client Transformation 🚨
Congratulations to my wife and client Jade! She came to me not feeling comfortable in herself and wanting to lose a bit of weight.
