Stephanie made fantastic progress in all departments in strength gains, inches lost and fitness. Beginning with a 70kg squat max to finishing with squatting 85kg for reps! 😱💪 Check our her testimonial and before and afters below! 😎

"Myself and my training partner Emily have been training with Michael since November 2016 (I think?) I signed up to personal training because I was just going to classes in the gym and not really pushing myself to see what I could do, I knew a PT could help, I also wanted to tone up my stomach and arms. As time went on weight became less of a goal and strength became a more prominent goal, I think it’s the competitive side of me that came out, wanting to beat my PB’s. Since beginning PT I feel a lot stronger than I was before, more confident in using nearly all the gym equipment and more self-confident in the way I look in tighter clothes or swimwear. Coming home from work and going straight to the gym seemed a chore sometimes as I was usually tired and just wanted to go home but as soon as my PT sessions started my mood always got better and I really enjoyed them. If I didn’t have a personal trainer I wouldn’t have HAD to go to the gym therefore I probably would’ve just gone home, so I feel like having a PT gets you to the gym in the first place which is the first step to reaching your goals and increasing your mood.

Michael is great at encouraging you to push yourself even when you don’t think you can go on any more. He made the sessions enjoyable and we always had a good laugh. He’s always available to contact, so when you’re stuck at the gym not knowing what the next exercise is he will be there to help. The best part of my journey is seeing results in the form of photos and measurements is a great pick me up when you have been working very hard, also getting to know a lot of people in the gym has been a great bonus however Sometimes the changes in diet would be hard to handle, I love food so it was hard to restrict calories.

When I started with Michael my upper body was very weak compared to my lower body, I could squat more than I should be able to but could barely do a shoulder press of 12kg. I am now a lot more confident in lifting weight with my upper body and I am a lot stronger than I was before. What surprised me the most was how changing your diet a little bit can make a big difference to your body, also how strong you can become in a short space of time if you work hard. My biggest change is my strength, smashing m PBs in short spaces of time has been great. I was expecting to become a lot slimmer and drop weight and dress sizes but instead I am heavier I have gained a lot of muscle and toning up in the right areas and dropped inches helping me gain the curvy figure Im looking for!

Unbelievable progress from my client Melissa Mccullough! I would love to say I'm shocked at her progress but through all the hard work and effort she has put in she deserves every piece of her success. Its not all about my opinion though, have a read below of Melissa's view on her Journey so far!

''I started personal training with Michael in December and completed the 4 month program from January. I used to go in and do a bit of cardio and think I had completed a workout, before PT I had never lifted a weight! My original goal was to get into my size 8 jeans again and to lose some weight, I achieved these goals and fit into my size 8 jeans with room to spare! Now my goal is to tone up and continue to build my strength and fitness. I have so much more confidence in myself now in going out and even going to the gym through Michael’s training, I really feel like I know what I’m doing! I'm definitely not as insecure in myself now I feel a lot happier about how I look now. I always look forward to my PT sessions with Michael because I find them so motivating and I feel I get pushed to my limits. I would say that personal training has really made me enjoy exercising, I train 3-4 times a week and if I miss a day I feel rubbish for missing out! The hardest thing I have found about this program is the diet. My biggest difference is my appearance and I haven’t stepped on a treadmill once!''

Terri joined up with her friend as support to help her friend lose weight with no specific goals not understanding the potential she had, fortunately for her i did! Believe it or not Terri had only set foot in the gym once her entire life and has no training experience, however being naturally lean it takes that extra bit of effort to cut body fat even further and that's exactly what she did.

There is a select few out there who can walk into the gym with no experience and be able to perform exercises with good technique and luckily for myself and Terri she was one of those people. With a few tweaks and a bit of coaching she was able to improve on her technique to active the correct muscles getting the best out of each exercise.

Looking at the photos you would think differently but Terri only dropped 6lbs on the scales, her transformation was achieved mainly through weight training. Not only was she training with me twice a week, Terri also committed more time to the gym on her own free time and eating healthy at home. To achieve your goals it is essential you train and eat healthy, both are important as each other.

Terri is 30 years of age and has 2 kids, who says you can have children and not have abs? Well done Terri Summersgill ! (Y)

Gary managed to lose an impressive 2 stone on his own but like alot of people after making such great achievements he hit his brick wall, also know as a plateau. Plateaus can be hard to break and Gary felt he needed that extra push and gave me a shout. After speaking with Gary I found out he had sciatica which caused him severe pain from his lower back right down to his foot limiting the exercises he was able to do with regular acupuncture and physio having no affect.

I gave Gary a few stretches and Glute activation exercises to include in his warm up and less than a week later he felt the pain ease. It wasn't long before Gary was able to do any exercise he put his mind to such as big compound movements such as Deadlifts and Squats. Weekly PT sessions and a couple of months later Gary, at the age of 56, smashed down his brick wall and dropped over a Stone in weight, increasing in strength, coordination, Posture, fitness and most importantly, pain free.

Another client update of Billi-jo Kitson, two months of solid training and she has dropped 13 lbs in weight, her attitude towards training has changed drastically in just two short months not to mention a massive increase in confidence, onto our third month for bigger and better goals!

Here is a progression video of my client Billi-jo Kitson. On her first session she couldn't do a single press up, now on the first session of her third month at the end of her work out she tallied up 15 press ups! not to mention she managed another set after this! Fantastic effort, onto bigger goals (Y)
