[12/31/20]   There is no doubt the the 3ness team have missed you this past year and hope you are reflecting and recharging your batteries for your life ahead.

It is important that you take this time to filter out what is important in life and continue to cherish it when life gets back to normal. We hopefully will not get the opportunity again to experience this interruption in our normal lives.

That said it is now the time to bring in the New Year.

My Thoughts
I sincerely hope you are well and keeping safe.

The recent events have compelled me to write to you all, as we have all been affected one way or another. Let me start by saying that as a black man running a business, I have always kept in mind my responsibility to be inclusive in what I do.

This is reflected in the presenters I hire who are a cross section of all our communities be they black, white, brown, male, female, straight, gay, le***an, in-shape or overweight. The purpose behind this is an attempt to attract every type of person to our events, so when they arrive they can associate and relate to another person at the event that looks like them.

To prove that change needs to come from the top is exactly my point above. When I started out doing fitness events in 1995 with Fitzroy Gaynes and Bob Betton (FAB), one of the reasons we started was due to the fact that Fitz was being ignored by the mainstream fitness organisations when he applied to be a presenter to show his talents.

We decided that we were going to do it ourselves, so everything was black. Our presenters, our staff and our participants. Fast forward to 2020 and the profile of staff, presenters and participants is very different at 3ness. That is how I made a change, so just imagine what major corporations and governments could do if they really wanted to. That said if 3ness are not doing enough, please let us know.

No matter where you come from you should always be proud of your culture and race, but always respect and try to understand others. Attending 3ness is my version of how we can all work together, workout together, party together and learn
about each other.

The recent events in America are not new, but there is a new focus and racism should be tackled at every corner, no matter what race you are - racism is evil and continues to divide us - we all have a responsibility to challenge it, if we hear it amongst family, friends, work colleagues or in public. Staying silent is no longer acceptable.

[01/01/20]   Happy New Year everyone and as expected the New Years resolutions are coming in thick and fast.

So this year my challenge along with my friend Beris is to film yourself trying to get back into a piece of clothes you used to wear at your desired size and set a goal to get back into it.

Last year I did the G.U.E.S.S. Diet (Give Up Eating [email protected] Stuff). Where I gave up 2 things I should not be eating every 2 weeks. This I will start again, but will also be doing more! More water, more classes, more stretching.
