Due to the hot weather 🥵, this evening’s Mind Body Walk has been cancelled.

According to the forecast, it will still be around 35°C at the time of the walk, so we feel it’s best to prioritise everyone’s wellbeing and safety.

Kim looks forward to welcoming you next week, hopefully with much more comfortable walking weather🤞

Nobody turned up to the first Mind Body Walk apart from Kim.

And she still walked 🤩

Instead of thinking, “What’s the point, nobody came!” she showed up for herself.
This is what Mind Body Coaching is all about.

Not perfection.
Not relying on motivation.
Just learning to consistently support yourself in a way that works for you.

A few years ago, described herself as a “couch potato.”
Now she’s the one leading the walk 🧡
That’s growth.
That’s self-care.
That’s self-worth.

And last week two people joined her 🫶
So if you’ve been thinking about joining but feel nervous, worried you won’t know anyone, or waiting until you feel “ready”
This is your reminder that you don’t need to have it all figured out before you start. Just starting is what leads to personal growth, self-care and self-worth.

This is Partner Personal Training at Mind Body Coaching where you train alongside someone you know, share the experience, and still get fully personalised coaching inside my private studio.

It’s also a more affordable way to train compared to 1-2-1 coaching, making high-quality personal training more accessible without compromising on support or results.

You get the best of both worlds:
🔥 A training partner for motivation and accountability
🔥 A coach guiding every rep, set, and progression
🔥 A programme built around your individual goals
🔥 A private, supportive space (no gym intimidation)

Because consistency isn’t about willpower — it’s about the environment you’re in and the people you’re with.

And when you’ve got both the right support and the right structure… everything changes.

If you’ve struggled to stay consistent on your own, this could be the shift you need.

It’s not knowledge or willpower that impacts your consistency — it’s your mindset.
And this is exactly what my new website reflects. So grateful to Josh for my website rebuild 🤩

It not only looks better, but it truly reflects the way I support the women I work with.

Because the real struggle isn’t always food or exercise…
It’s consistency.
It’s guilt and shame.
It’s feeling like you’re constantly starting over.

And underneath that, it often comes down to:
How you think about setbacks ( “I’ve failed” )
How you speak to yourself ( “I should be better” )
What you believe is possible for you
Whether you act from guilt and shame
This is the part most plans never address.

You can have:
The right workouts
The right nutrition

But knowing what to do isn’t the issue.

It’s starting again every Monday.
Feeling frustrated.
Blaming yourself.
Being stuck in start–stop cycles and ending up back at square one.

At the heart of how I coach is helping women understand and shift these patterns — not just give them more information.

I provide
🔸 A mind–body approach
🔸 Behaviour change over quick fixes
🫶 Self-compassion instead of guilt or shame
🔸 A way to feel consistent — without the “all or nothing” cycle

If you’ve ever felt like:
“I know what I should be doing… but I’m not doing it”

This is for you.

I’d love you to take a look at my new website (link in bio) and let me know what you think 😉
And if you’re ready to stop starting over, you can find all the details about working with me there too.

This isn’t another quick fix.

This is about understanding yourself — and getting unstuck, for good.

Have you ever wondered why you managed to fast during Ramadan…but outside of it, you feel like you’ve lost your focus or discipline?
A client said to me recently:
“How can I fast for 12+ hours, but afterwards struggle not to snack for even 2?”

And honestly… It’s such an important question.
Because it’s not about willpower.

If this resonates with you, remember you’ve already proven that during Ramadan, you’re able to:
🔸 Follow structure
🔸 Delay food
🔸 Stay committed

So what changes after?

It’s not you. It’s the environment around you.

During Ramadan:
✔️ There are clear boundaries (you don’t eat)
✔️ Your “why” is strong and deeply meaningful
✔️ There’s less decision-making
✔️ You’re part of something bigger than yourself

Outside of it?

You’re back to constant choice, less structure, and a “why” that feels… quieter.

And that matters.

Because behaviour isn’t just about discipline —
it’s about what’s holding you in place.

So instead of asking:
“Why can’t I stick to it?”

Try asking:
👉 “What did Ramadan give me that I don’t have right now?”
Was it:
– Structure?
– Routine?
– A stronger sense of purpose?
– Fewer decisions to make?
Because that’s your clue.

You don’t need more willpower.

You need to recreate parts of the environment that helped you succeed.
Even 10–20% of that can change everything.
If this resonates, I’d love to know…

What felt easier for you during Ramadan that feels harder now?

Meet Kim, our Walk Leader 🤗
When Kim first started her journey with me, she described herself as a “couch potato.”
Fast forward to now… she’s quite the opposite — showing up for four resistance workouts a week 💪🏼

But like many people who work from home, she still finds it a challenge to get her daily steps in. And that’s one of the reasons she’s thankfully agreed to lead the Mind Body Walk 🧡

Throughout her journey, Kim has stepped out of her comfort zone time and time again — attending both of my MHEC-Fest events in 2024, joining our outdoor fitness classes, and taking part in the walking group when I previously ran it.

When she first started, Kim believed it had to be all or nothing — a “go hard or go home” approach.

Now, she shows up with consistency in a way that works for her.

And that’s exactly what this walk is about.
This isn’t about step targets or pushing intensity.

It’s about creating space to move at your own pace — where you don’t have to “be fit” to start.

You just have to start.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, looking for a gentle way to begin, wanting to step away from your devices, or simply increase your daily movement…
We’d love to welcome you 💛

After some time off over the Festive period including a lovely break in Devon/Dorset I was ready and looking forward to getting back into my routine. And I know I’m back in my routine with my workouts and eating — but focus? That’s been slower to return.

Life’s full right now: a 10th birthday party to plan, a trip to Oz coming up, and a brain that’s still adjusting to needing to be on devices for work after a pause. Which is why I took a little break from posting last week.

If that’s you too, it’s okay.

Many of us may have fallen out of our usual routines or healthy habits over the past few weeks.

This isn’t a failure.
It isn’t an undoing.
It’s simply part of being human.

Life ebbs and flows. Routines pause. Priorities shift. None of that erases the work we’ve already done or the progress our body remembers.

At any point — today, tomorrow, next week — we can turn things around and without pressure or punishment, take small, compassionate steps forward.

There’s no rush. No “new year, new you” required.

Just a steady return to what supports us.

Let’s keep blocking out the New Year resolution noise and take our busy days one step at a time.

We’ve got this 🧡

Who else had a break over the festive period…
felt ready to get back into routine…
but is still finding parts of it hard?

03/01/2026

I’ll be honest… I’m personally put off by the New Year, New You narrative. And I’ve seen more of Joe Wicks in the past week than I did in all of 2025 — which, quite frankly, has annoyed me more than it probably should 😅

I did return to movement today — after a break — but not because it’s January.

Not because I “should”

It came from my own journey, my awareness of how my body is feeling without it and the knowledge I’ve built over years about how movement supports me physically and psychologically.

Which brings me to something that happened with my 11-year-old daughter before my workout.
She’s recently been introduced to the gym at secondary school, so I asked if she wanted to train with me for the first time.
She said no 😫
I replied, “This is what I do for a living — people come to me for support and I’d like to support you.”
She responded, “But I don’t want to.”

And I’m proud that I left it there.

No convincing.

No pushing the benefits — even though I know them inside out.

Because her level of awareness and knowledge is different to mine.
And no matter how much I tell her about the physical and psychological benefits… this is her journey.

As her parent who really wanted to tell her what to do I remembered as a coach who has spent over twenty years helping people build their relationship with movement, this moment mattered.

I teach that movement has to be something we WANT to do and the fact that my daughter knew this already is brilliant 🫶

Not something we’re pressured into — because it’s January, by social media, or by anyone else.

You have your own journey too. Instead of forcing it, take time out from your busy life to listen to what your Mind and Body needs and most importantly wants.

Happy New Year 🧡 Save this in case you need this reminder 🛟

20/12/2025

I’m taking some time away from social media until the New Year to be fully present with family and friends, to rest, reconnect, and recharge and make time to move & dance 💃

Me dancing here sums up how I’m heading into the festive season: choosing presence over pressure.

Movement isn’t just for weight loss! — it’s joyful, freeing, nourishing for the mind and enables us to be present and sometimes connect with ourselves and others.

So whether it’s a walk on a beach or a dance in my living room. I choose to move, laugh, and be present to fully embrace the season.

This time of year despite all the running around getting everything done makes me reflect on all that I have to be grateful for.

Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for engaging with what I share — it truly means so much.

Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful, restful or active festive season 🎄— whatever brings joy to you. 🧡

How will you be spending your Festive Season?
