💙SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT💙

Over the coming days, we’re going to be shining a spotlight on the amazing businesses who have sponsored our Hoyland Common Falcons U7 Blues boys this season!

Each day, we’ll be introducing you to one of our fantastic sponsors, telling you a little bit about their business, what they do, how you can support them and, of course, showing you which one of our players they proudly sponsor.

Our sponsors play a huge part in helping our team and we’re incredibly grateful to every single business that has chosen to support our boys.

So, over the next few days, keep an eye out for our Sponsor Spotlights — and please show these brilliant local businesses some love, give them a follow, check out their pages and support them where you can!

Thank you for supporting Hoyland Common Falcons U7 Blues!

MATCH DAY

What an absolutely fantastic effort from the boys today! They put a right shift in from start to finish and never stopped working. The improvement in these boys week after week is honestly unreal, and it’s brilliant to watch them grow in confidence, develop their football and most importantly, enjoy themselves. The boys are getting better and better every single week, but what makes us most proud is how hard they work together as a team.

There were some absolutely outstanding individual moments today:
Tommy (sponsored by LCW Groundworks Limited)— some incredible defending and even stopping goals from happening. Outstanding!
Marley — some unbelievable saves and fantastic decisions throughout.
Olly (sponsored by www.mamroofingservices.co.uk) — great defending and movement to contribute both in attack and defence.
Noah (sponsored by Ells Designs )— some great clearances and worked hard for the team.
Vinnie (sponsored by Ultimate Cosmetic Solutions) — some really good ball work and good effort.
Spencer (sponsored by Mint & Co) — fantastic attacking play and finding the back of the net twice!
James (sponsored by Chris Witney Bespoke Construction)— created some fantastic attacking chances for the team.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH — MARLEY
Marley was absolutely unbelievable today. Some incredible decisions, dropping on the ball when needed and making some of the best saves we’ve seen him make yet. The hard work Marley is putting in both inside and outside of training is really starting to show, and today was a brilliant example of that. Absolutely incredible, Marley — well done!

A huge thank you, as always, to our main sponsor C.D. Potter & Sons (https://www.cdpotterandsons.co.uk) for their continued support of the boys. We simply cannot thank them enough for providing all our kit, and the means to provide more equipment for our boys.

And finally, thank you to all of our amazing parents, wider family and friends who continue to support the boys every week — whether that’s on the sidelines, travelling to games, helping behind the scenes or simply cheering them on. It genuinely means so much.

Well done boys — keep working hard, keep improving and most importantly, keep enjoying your football!

⚽️TRAINING THURSDAYS⚽️

Thursdays only mean one thing…….training night!

After reflecting on Sundays match, we recognised that we could’ve scored more goals from the opposition goal kicks. So last night we focused specifically on restarting from goal kicks, both offensively and defensively. The forward players were practicing making a fast start from the retreat to win the ball back from the defenders, then developing an attacking opportunity. Defenders worked on receiving the ball from the goalkeeper and making the correct pass with ball to take the pressure off their team and progress up the pitch. Goalkeepers were developing their decision making and confidence in playing the first pass out from the back.

All in all, the boys worked tremendously hard. A real battle between the boys in the match at the end too, which finished 1-0 to bibs!👏🏻

🏆TRAINER OF THE WEEK🏆

Trainer of the week - Olly - sponsored by M.A.M Roofing Services!💪🏻

Olly was fantastic last night, he showed real determination when attacking and particularly when defending. Olly reads the game really well and is always developing how he thinks on the pitch. Brilliant to see how he’s growing as a footballer!

Up The Blues!💙

OUR SPONSORED WALK TOTAL IS IN…

We genuinely don’t even know where to begin. When we organised our sponsored walk, we could never, ever have imagined the amount of support we were going to receive. We have been completely blown away by the generosity shown to our U7 Blues. To say we are grateful is an understatement. We are absolutely over the moon with what everyone has helped us achieve.

From every single GoFundMe donation, to the cash donations we received along the way — we even had people pulling up at the side of the road to hand the boys notes and change - to an incredibly generous donation from a family member’s workplace staff, every single penny has added up to something amazing.

This money is going to go such a long way for our boys. It will help us give them opportunities, experiences and memories together that we simply wouldn’t be able to provide without the support of everyone around us. Grassroots football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about friendships, confidence, experiences, making memories and giving these boys the chance to be part of something really special. We can now help provide that, giving the boys some amazing opportunities, equipment and an amazing Christmas party for them.

And we can finally reveal that together, you have helped our boys raise an absolutely incredible…

💙£1,200.43!!!💙

To every single person who donated, shared our posts, sponsored the boys, stopped us on the walk, cheered them on or supported us in any way…

THANK YOU💙

£1,200.43 raised for our boys. What an incredible community we have around them.

⚽️MATCHDAY⚽️

WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM OUR BLUES TODAY! We honestly couldn’t be prouder of the boys today. Every single one of them worked their socks off from start to finish.

We come up against a well matched, Hoyland Town JFC. was some absolutely fantastic football on display — brilliant teamwork, defending, passing, decision-making and confidence to have a shot. Today genuinely could have seen any one of the boys take Player of the Match, which says everything about the performance they put in as a team. The best part is seeing the improvements week upon week. They’re listening, learning, working for each other and growing in confidence every time they step onto the pitch. This little team are doing AMAZING and we are so proud of them!
