𝘼𝙁𝘾 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙍𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨-𝙐𝙥 🥈

A brilliant effort from the Pinfold boys today.

After losing our opening game, the lads showed incredible character and never looked back. We finished runners-up in the group stage, which meant a tough route to the final.

In the semi-final, we faced Bottesford, who had won every game in their group. That didn't faze the boys one bit, and a fantastic team performance saw us run out 1-0 winners.

The final saw us come up against Redfearns, an A Division side who had swept everyone aside on their way to the final. The message was simple: be hard to beat, work for each other, and we might just nick a goal.

The boys were outstanding. They matched them every step of the way and were still right in the game until the final seconds. Unfortunately, with virtually the last kick of the match, Redfearns found the winner. Heartbreaking for the lads, but they can hold their heads high.

As a departing coach, I couldn't be prouder. The majority of this squad are playing up a year, and to compete with — and beat — some excellent teams along the way, while pushing an A Division side to the very end, is something every single one of them should be proud of.

It's been the story of the last three years — often the bridesmaid and never the bride. But we've always punched above our weight, competed with the best, and represented ourselves with pride. That's something nobody can ever take away from us.

Good final training session for the boys ahead of this weekend’s tournament ⚽️

We kicked things off with some running work, really pushing the lads and setting the tempo early.

Then into 1v1s, focusing on being explosive once past your opponent, followed by a game of “Goals, Goals” won by Hugo, Noah and Charlie

We finished with the boys’ favourite… American penalties! Hugo came out on top, beating Logan and then Charlie to take the win 🏆

Trainer of the Week isn’t always about being the best player on the pitch — it’s about development, attitude and self-belief. Today Arlo showed exactly that. He competed brilliantly, executed the drills superbly and played some fantastic football throughout.

We played some brilliant football in the first half and it was a pleasure to watch. In the second half we mixed things up, tried players in different positions and made plenty of changes, so we dropped off slightly, but it was still a great run out for the boys. Credit to Kendray as well, they kept working hard and made us earn it.

No official Man of the Match tonight, but Kayleb made some unbelievable saves in the second half and was excellent defensively in the first.

Also great to have Charlie back after injury 💙

Pinfold Puma’s under u9s are delighted to announce the appointment of former Brierley Cubs manager Stephen Ollerton as the club’s new Head Coach on an 18-month rolling contract.

Steve brings a wealth of coaching experience, football knowledge, and passion for player development to the role, and we are excited to welcome him to the club.

He will officially take charge from June 8th.

A fantastic team performance against a good Rotherham United Girls side. After a slightly nervy opening five minutes, we settled into the game and it became a really even contest. As confidence grew, we started to take control, dominate possession, and turn that into a strong, well-earned win.
