Home Derby Day today saw our Under 10 Reds go against our new Under 10s White’s and what a brilliant game it was.

An absolute barnstormer of a friendly game between both Staincross Teams. Goals and challenges from both sides saw a competitive game for all to watch.

In the first derby, it was a win for the Red’s but our uprising White’s have everything to play for going forward.

However, the scoreline could have been anything as both teams really bought their A-game today. Both teams short on subs meant all players had to rise to the challenge.

End to end game which had a bit of everything; Penalties, Woodwork rattled, Top class saves from both keepers, fair and strong challenges and dare we say some injuries on both sides. Everyone gave the parents and coaches and ref a qaulity game to watch/ be involved in

The futures bright for Staincross Rangers, both teams will face off against each other in the Sheffield League as they move forward.

Well done both teams and thankyou for an end to end game of intense action.

Summer Club is running this week but we are having to do it slightly differently to make sure we can open to all.

Yr 4 + Yr 5 Participants - 17:00 to 18:00
Reception, Yr 1 to Yr 3 - 18:00 to 19:00

We played in the Alverthorpe tournament today,
Played some very good games.

We started with a 0-0 draw with a very tight game that could have gone either way!

We then played our second game in the group we narrowly lost this 2-1 but we could have easily won/got a draw from this and on another day we would have won this!

After this our next 2 games we won both comfortably and played some great football in both these games,
Our next game again was a tight one and with the last kick of the game we lost 1-0. Again was very unlucky in this game!

We then played our last group game and comfortably won this again! Meaning we finished 4th so went into the semi final playing the team that beat us 2-1.

We set off well and played some great one twos and had a couple of great chances.

We then somehow found ourselves behind from the worst ref decision I’ve seen in a while, the ball went out of play for a goal kick but there player tapped it back in. Our players stopped for this as we all thought it was a goal kick. The ref somehow gave this as a goal!

We had then equalised through a great run forward and finish! But luck just wasn’t with us and they scored again late on with another lucky goal as the ball just fell to there lad with luck and he tapped it in!

But as I’ve said today to these kids 6 month ago we would have probably been battered in some of them games today, but today we have stood our own in every game and could have won everyone!
