⚽️🏆 Hoyland Falcons Tournament 2026 Report 🏆⚽️

Yesterday, the boys took part in another competitive summer tournament and once again showed how much they have developed over the past year.

The day began perfectly with a confident 2-0 victory, carrying on the winning momentum from the previous tournament. Although the second match ended in defeat, the boys were the better side for large periods, with a number of controversial refereeing decisions making the task even more difficult.

The third game proved costly as a lapse in concentration allowed the opposition to take control. However, the team responded brilliantly. In the fourth match, they deserved all three points, but a highly controversial late equaliser was awarded after the referee had already blown for a foul, denying the boys a deserved victory.

The response in the final game summed up this team perfectly. Knowing they needed a result, the boys gave absolutely everything and secured a fantastic 1-0 win against the team that went on to top the group.

On another day, the boys could easily have finished first or second. Seven points saw them finish fourth in a very competitive group, just two points away from a place in the semi-finals. While qualification slipped away, the character, determination, and quality on display throughout the tournament showed just how far this team has come. Looking back to this time last year, when tournament victories were hard to come by, the improvement has been incredible.

🏆 Tournament Report 🏆

What a day for Junior Tykes FC White! Yesterday, the boys produced an outstanding performance to lift the trophy after an incredible tournament.

From the very first match, the team showed determination, confidence, and fantastic teamwork. Every player played their part, working tirelessly for one another and playing some excellent football throughout the day. The hard work and commitment shown in training over the past months were rewarded with a well-deserved tournament victory.

The attacking football was outstanding, but special praise must go to the defence. Dominic was excellent in goal throughout the tournament, while Carson and Frankie were immense at the back. Their organisation, composure, and determination helped the team concede just one goal in six matches, providing the perfect foundation for success.

The boys also overcame their recent semi-final disappointment in style, booking their place in the final before producing another dominant performance to lift the trophy.

Match Report 📋⚽

The boys delivered another excellent performance last Sunday, earning a well-deserved 4-2 victory with a display full of energy, teamwork, and quality football.

From back to front, every player played their part. The goalkeeping was solid, the defending was strong and organised, while the attacking play was full of confidence. The boys regularly drove forward down the wings, created plenty of chances, and showed some excellent finishing in front of goal.

The goals came from Steve, Thomas, and a brilliant brace from Antoni, but this was truly a team performance. Every player contributed, worked hard for one another, and showed great attitude throughout the match.

After a two-week break from matchday action, we’re back on the pitch this Sunday as Junior Tykes FC White host South Kirkby Colliery JFC in a friendly fixture.

The boys are excited to be back playing and ready for another enjoyable test. We’re looking forward to a morning full of effort, smiles, and great football.
