Today's video is a nice little shoulder routine, composed of 4 exercises that work on different parts of the shoulders.

Top left - top of the shoulders,
top right - sides
botton left - back of the shoulders
bottom right - all of the shoulders

Do it as a circuit, 10 reps each exercise, 30 seconds rest between each exercise

4 sets - 1 minute rest between each set.

Give it a go and watch those shoulders grow

Nice little leg session between classes today , 6 sets of each exercise with progressive overload for first 3 sets, set 4 at the same weight as set 3, then sets 5 and 6 lighter and lighter - 30 secs rest between each set

Leg Extensions 6 sets of 10
Hamstring curls 6 sets of 10
Calf raises 6 sets of 20
Hip abductors 6 sets of 20 ( outside of the thigh, and part of the glutes)
Hip adductors 6 sets of 20 (inside of the thigh, running from the pelvis to the femur and tibia)

Hey everyone,
Hope you’re well.

Here’s a nice little back workout I’ve just started doing.
Note the changes from one video to another, either in terms of grip (wide to narrow, forward or reverse) and bar position ( in front of or behind the head)

4 sets of 10 reps for each exercise targeting different muscle groups in the back.

A nice bicep/tricep superset , followed by a bicep finisher as part of this morning's workout.

10 double arm bicep curls, followed by 10 overhead tricep extensions - repeat with no rest until you have completed 4 sets of each. Then into the bicep finisher - 8 alternating single arm bicep curls, 8 single arm alternating internal bicep curls followed by 8 double arm external bicep curls - 4 rounds no rest in between (apologies for the gurning - working hard :-))

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a little workout that I do that focuses on developing the chest area :

4 rounds of 15 reps of each of the following, with 30 seconds rest between each set - Dumbell Bench Press, Crush Press, Pullovers, Chest Flys.

Weight should be heavy enough to challenge you so that you feel it around rep 12, but not too heavy that it compromises your form.

If you can do 15 reps x 4 sets comfortably, the weight is too light

Hi, and welcome to my page !

I'm not your average personal trainer, as I only qualified in December 2025 when I was 61.

Read on, and hopefully you'll be inspired by my journey, and motivated enough to contact me so that we can work together.

I've not always been in good shape, but what inspired me to change was seeing a video of my self presenting to 200 people on stage at a work conference.

My reaction was " Who is that large unfit person ?" - I looked bloated, was 18 and a half stone, and my suit was straining to contain me - my stomach was hanging over my belt - you get the picture ? (See below).

From that moment on, I vowed to change. I found myself a personal trainer and worked hard with her 2/3 times a week, lifting weights, modifying my diet, and cutting out alcohol for 6 months.

I even started to run...treadmill at first, then a few parkruns, and then some half marathons - nuts right ?

Over a 2 year period I lost around 5 and a half stone, and was stronger and fitter than I'd ever been - I even ran the London Marathon for charity in 2018 aged 54.

During lockdown ( remember that ?) I acquired a treadmill, cross trainer and exercise bike, and slowly accumulated some weights, and now train myself 4 or 5 times a week in my garage gym.

In 2024,I discovered the Six Pack Revolution ( www.thesixpackrevolution.com), and re-educated myself on the joys of healthy eating and targeted exercise.

In 2025, I became a member of their online coaching team, and with one eye on the future, I put myself through both a L2 fitness instructor and L3 Personal Trainer qualification, qualifying in December 2025.

I retired from the "day job" in March 2026, and my goal now is to help others like me who want to become a better, fitter version of themselves.

I can offer you Personal Training sessions at Ciento Gym, (Unit 3, Pottington Road, Barnstaple, EX31 1JH) www.cientogym.co.uk and in the future am hoping to be able to train clients in my garage gym in Roundswell, Barnstaple, too.
