What a joy having these students altogether in our new Elevate Dance from age 9yrs through to teens

It’s a lovely, upbeat class which brings together Ballet, Tap, PBT (Progressive Ballet Technique) and Musical Theatre-style dance. We work on developing dance skills, strength, coordination and confidence, while also enjoying choreography and different styles of performance .

There’s lots of variety, so the dancers get the opportunity to learn, be challenged, express themselves and enjoy dancing with their friends and there’s always something new to look forward to!

A class designed to challenge, inspire and, most importantly, keep young dancers moving, learning and enjoying their dance journey! ✨

Last week it was Ballet and PBT plus a rehearsal for our forthcoming medal tests then taking a well earned break in the September sunshine 🌞. Just loving the warmth of the early evening sun ☀️

What a fantastic Friday of dance 🩰💃🕺

In our Elevate Foundation class we welcomed a new dancer who settled into the new environment very quickly and Megan from the Penarth class who did a class swap just for this week 👍

Did you know, if your child cannot attend his/her usual class we can always offer an alternative 😊

It was a beautiful warm sunny afternoon and we took the opportunity with drink bottles in hand to enjoy the September sunshine 🌞
Wonderful to breathe in that fresh air and try out the new outdoor furniture, I think we all gave it a 10 ! 😁

We loved the rhythm of tap and the beauty of ballet before we rehearsed our performance piece for our forthcoming medal test 🏅

Today we’re celebrating some GREAT NEWS and a very special achievement! 🥳🏅✨
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Holly, who has received her Gold Medal & Certificate for successfully completing the final stage of the Student Assistant Development Programme (SADP)! 🌟L🩰

Holly’s journey has taken her through:
🥉 Stage 1 – Bronze
🥈 Stage 2 – Silver
🥇 Stage 3 – Gold
The Student Assistant Development Programme is an innovative training programme designed to guide, support and recognise senior students who assist within thr Melody Movement Early Learning Dance Classes.
As well as learning the principles and responsibilities of assisting within a dance class, the programme helps students develop valuable transferable skills, including leadership, organisation, planning and communication.

Each stage consists of three units, incorporating tutorials, practical sessions and tasks, with the SADP awards providing students with a wonderful way to recognise their efforts and achievements on their CV or personal statement.

A massive thank you for being such a wonderful student assistant in our Tuesday Sully Magical Ballet class. The children have adored you over the years, and you have been such a positive role model to so many of our younger dancers. 💕

A very special this week as we proudly share our High Achievers Certificate & Trophy for Ballet, which we were delighted to receive at the UTD AGM last Sunday in Bedfordshire. 🏆

What a wonderful achievement for our school and our dancers — and one that makes the long journey to Bedfordshire so very worthwhile! 💕🩰

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and the dedication and commitment that goes into achieving these awards.
They represent the commitment of our students and the support of their families .

After a long journey to Bedfordshire, we were very proud to receive this award , enjoy the refresher courses in ballet and tap as well as the AGM itself all wrapped in a celebration of 50yrs of the UTD Dance Examination Board .

A lovely weekend, with a short relaxation stay at the Holiday Inn 🥂☕️ and excited for the next chapter 🩰🧑‍🩰
