Finishing the week on a high with Fin!

We finished the week with a fantastic morning session with Fin, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress he’s making!

We were absolutely blown away by this feedback from Fin’s mum. We’ll let her words speak for themselves:

💬 “Fin has a great radar for people who are genuine, authentic and he can trust. He’s had this with Sophie and Skye from day one. And when a child genuinely feels these things and knows their adults want the absolute best for them they truly shine. Fin looks forward to every session, he takes all the advice on board and even just after restarting the sessions last week. It really shows in his game time. Last game he scored 3 goals, he had excellent footwork skills and excellent communication. Sophie adapts each session according to what each child needs and Skye is a fabulous assistant… and it doesn’t stop there it means I get an hour to gym, walk or just have a coffee in silence. And sometimes thats equally priceless.”

Our sessions are about so much more than football. Building trust, developing confidence, creating positive relationships and adapting sessions to meet each child’s individual needs are at the heart of everything we do.

A fantastic session under the lights for our Girls Rounders Club last night! 🌟

We started with a fun warm-up game to get our brains into gear, followed by a team challenge before finishing with a fantastic game of rounders! 🙌

It’s always brilliant to see the girls working together, supporting one another and growing in confidence every week. 💪

And then we received this amazing feedback from one of our parents:

“This group provides amazing opportunities for girls in our area. The volunteers are really welcoming and enthusiastic. The children all support each other and it’s just fab to see them all cheering each other on and growing in confidence week on week. Thank you!!”

WOW! 🥹 This is exactly why we do what we do, and it’s amazing to hear how much the girls and families are enjoying being part of our club.

We’ll soon be heading indoors for the winter months, and we’re still welcoming new players!

Player Development | Koby ⚽️

Great to be back working with Koby tonight! A fantastic young player with a brilliant attitude and willingness to learn. 👏

We focused on 1v1 attacking, beating the defender and exploiting the space created, with lots of opportunities to practise, make decisions and build confidence.

Focusing on principles of encouraging creativity, decision-making, exploration and enjoyment.

Fantastic work rate throughout, alongside exceptional manners and respect for the coaches. A pleasure to work with!

⚽️ ONE-TO-ONE FOOTBALL COACHING UPDATE ⚽️

I’m delighted to share that from October 2026, I’ll be returning to one-to-one football coaching sessions!

Over the next week, I’ll be contacting all of my existing players, parents and carers to provide an update and discuss sessions moving forward.

I currently have a small amount of availability for new players, although priority will always be given to my existing players.

📅 Current availability:

• 1 space for weekly sessions
• 1 space for fortnightly sessions
• Daytime, evenings and weekends available
• Small group sessions can also be arranged

It was great to be back on the grass with Finley this morning! 💪🏻

A massive thank you to Skye, one of our fantastic young volunteers across Strive Beyond projects, for assisting with the session today. Skye helped set everything up and packed everything away afterwards, meaning I could spend the full hour completely focused on Finley and his individual development.

Having that additional support makes such a difference and allows us to get the absolute most out of every session. 👊🏻

A great session today, with some super fun games including Mission Impossible which was a huge hit! ✨

Player of the night was awarded to Emily, who showed awesome commitment to taking on board instructions and trying her very best 👏🏻

A fantastic evening supporting Barton Town FC

Strive Beyond Camps were delighted to be Match Day Sponsors for Barton Town FC’s thrilling 4–0 victory over Pickering last night! 🎉

It was a fantastic evening of football, community and celebration, and we were proud to be able to support our local club.

A huge thank you to our wonderful guests Gemma, Caitlin, Emma and Skye for joining us and helping make the evening so special.

We were also incredibly proud to have one of our fantastic young Strive Beyond rounders players, Amber, present the Man of the Match award. 🏆

A very special thank you to Paul, who looked after us throughout the evening and served up a wonderful chilli that was enjoyed by everyone.

Paul went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and that our experience was one to remember, thank you!

Thursday nights inside 🤩

So much fun at our women’s rounders session last night! 🙌🏻

It’s brilliant to see everyone making so much progress and doing so well getting a rounder inside 👏🏻 Sometimes it can be a little tricky when the ball hits the wall or roof and heads off in a completely different direction 😂 but that’s all part of the fun!

A fantastic night at rounders! ✨

It was lovely having Sophie helping to run the session, the girls had so much fun 🤩

We worked on some little drills, communication and game play, and there were smiles all round when the girls left 🙌🏻
