🐾💖 An Appreciation Post for Our Girl Alice! 💖🐾

Alice has been doing Flyball for 6 years but has unfortunately struggled to progress much further than foundation. Alice and her wonderful handlers joined us in February, and we were determined to help her find her confidence! ❤️

Although Alice is confident running in a team and onto the shoot, the ball firing in her face meant she struggled to put all the pieces together, even leaving our captains scratching their heads! 🤔

After lots of thinking, research and seeking advice outside the club, we found something that worked! By building her confidence around the box turn and using a trigger stopper to prevent the ball firing in her face, we started to see progress.

And this weekend, she took a ball with NO trigger stopper! 🥹🎉

This is a HUGE achievement for Alice, and we couldn’t be prouder of her and her amazing handlers! ❤️

Now we keep building that confidence, and hopefully next year we’ll see our girl flying down the open lanes! 🤞🥎🐾

Well done, Alice! We’re so proud of you! 💖

🎉 Congratulations to Rachel and Hansa — our Handler & Dog of the Month for September! 🎉

Hansa joined us back in March this year and, to begin with, she wasn’t particularly interested in working or putting in too much effort! 😂 But after a lot of patience, hard work and figuring out exactly what worked for Hansa, we have finally cracked it!

Rachel and Hansa have both worked incredibly hard and listen to everything we ask of them. All that hard work is really starting to pay off.

Hansa can now run a full-length, collect the ball off the chute and return it all the way back to Rachel. 🥎🐾

It’s been a long, slow process, but seeing the two of them working together now is absolutely brilliant. And, most importantly, Hansa absolutely loves Flyball now! ❤️

Well done, Rachel and Hansa — you both thoroughly deserve this! 🏆👏
