to our squads who we feel show great talent, potential and dedication to dance and offer them a more intense training regime, we feel strongly that all of our dancers are offered equal opportunity to perform with us at our biannual show, Danceforce, as well as many of our performances at major venues such as Her Majesty's Theatre, Sadler's Wells and even The Royal Albert Hall. In April 2015, for the third year running, we have been invited to join Pasha Kovalev, star of Strictly Come Dancing, in his touring show at Anvil, Basingstoke. We are not a school who enters soloist to perform in the countless dance Festivals/competitions that take place almost every weekend at different locations around the county. Firstly because we feel that it tends to put both
parents and children under added stress, expense and commitment and also because we feel that the performance opportunities that we offer our students are more
than sufficient to develop their confidence and performance skills. However, we do regularly enter Burghfield Dance Festival with solos, duets, trios and groups where we compete against schools from around the country. Burghfield Festival is a relatively small, local festival that is friendly and
very well organised. We also offer Medal classes where children can learn solos, duets or trios to perform in front of a small audience and a qualified examiner at BTDA Medals Tests to earn medals and awards in a progressive and constructive structure. All of our Graded classes follow the BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association) programme of study and students are regularly entered for graded examinations. Although the examinations are encouraged, they are by no means compulsory and we are quite happy for students to progress to the next level when their teacher feels they have achieved the required standard.
