Qualified Cecchetti Ballet Teacher 🎓 Completed my exams in 2024 but the ceremony was last week 🥳 🥂 🍾 🎊

I spent 2017 - 2024 studying for this, alongside my teaching career and having my two sons. Those babies heard a lot of ballet music!

Cecchetti; a niche style of ballet where we continue the legacy of Enrico Cecchetti (1850 - 1928). Greatest dancer and teacher of his time akin to Agrippa Vaganova.

As a teacher, I have observed that students improve very quickly with the Cecchetti method compared to other methods I have used in the past.

As a dancer, Cecchetti gives me beautiful arm lines, coordination, musicality, and a 'lightness' when jumping. I love being able to move in this way.

Progress 🙂 comparing adv 1 with adv 2.

Adv 1 exam 28th August 2024.

Adv 2 exam 28th August 2025.

Both goals I set for myself as part of returning to ballet after two pregnancies.

It is amazing what the human body can achieve with hard work, and a kind approach (being kind to yourself, I mean!).

Is it chaotic trying to find time to practice ballet when you're a mum to two kids? Yes! But does it mean the world to see them proud of you? Also yes!

Today Miss Jenni did her RAD Advanced 2 Exam 🙂

An honour to coach this young ballerina recently while she was on holiday in the UK. 11 years old and already working on Sleeping Beauty repertoire.

Well done little ballerinas for doing so well in your Grade 1 Exam.

The show taught me that we should never give up on our dreams. With hard work, dreams can come true.

I also learnt that I have amazing students, and wonderful friends who support my dance school.

Most importantly all the dancers and the audience had a great time and that is what dance as a performing art is all about.
