What's going on? First Peter Consterdine and now Chuck Norris! The world has lost 2 of it's greatest martial artists in 1 week! 😢 As our instructor Dave said, 'I hope he upstairs ain't making an army!'
Personally, I like to think Peter needed someone to spar with! 🥊
RIP Chuck, in honour of the great man, here's my favourite Chuck Norris joke, Chuck Norris doesn't do push ups, he pushes the Earth down! 🌍⬇️

I am absolutely devastated to hear today of the very sad loss of one of the greatest and most inspirational martial artists I have ever had the honour to know, train and grade with, our Chief Instructor, Peter Consterdine.
As well as being a hugely successful Karate competitor, Peter's real-life self-protection, close protection, and bodyguarding knowledge was second to none. In fact, he originally coined the phrase 'self-protection' at a time when others only talked about 'self-defence', which our own club pays homage to in our name, Hampshire Self-Protection. Here is a much treasured photo of me (middle) with joint British Combat Association Chief Instructor's Geoff Thompson (left) and Peter (right) at their Ultimate Self Defence seminar back in 2012, when Peter and Geoff assessed me and awarded me an Instructorship and Black Belt in their system, The Real Combat System. Something I am honoured to still be to this day.
My deepest condolences to Peter's Wife, Dawn, their family, friends and students. RIP Peter 🙏
