Great turnout for our first WhatsApp Tuesday. The Men’s A Team had a thorough workout in preparation for their next match and a couple of members turned up to join in the fun. The weather looks to be bright and sunny for Club Night tonight, so get yourself down to the courts for a great evening of tennis.

On a beautifully sunny May day Hook Men’s A Team played Hampshire Court A Team at their indoor courts. The distinct home advantage of fast indoor courts was capitalised on by Hampshire Court to result in a win of all four matches. Whilst the score line was unflattering, it did not reflect the effort put in by all team members. Particular mention should go to Matt, the youngest Men’s A Team player in the history of H&NTC.

All players acquitted themselves well and gained valuable match practice, but ultimately were up against an experienced and well drilled foursome. The whole team take onboard the lessons learned and will utilise our new Tuesday night coaching sessions to improve the team’s performance as a whole.

Morale is high as Hampshire A is one of the best teams in the league and Hook’s performance stands them in good stead for the remaining matches.
