Hey guys,

Hope everyone is well as we come into the Christmas break. I'm pleased to announce we have an exciting event happening at TeamSport Bristol on the 15th December. This is a joint event with UWE Motorsports so should be a fun little bit of competition.

The format will be a 5min qualy followed by an 80 minute endurance race. There will be 18 teams of 3 on track so will definitely be a manic race. If you have any questions about the event let me know.

Morning guys!
For everyone attending the karting today - *meet at east car park on campus at 13:20*. We will be getting the coach there and back and aim to be back on campus for *18:30*. We will announce the teams upon arrival 😁
We will be leaving at 13:30 so please don’t be late! If you are going to be late please reach out to a committee member.

Hey everyone

Tickets for the first event of the year are now on sale! On Wednesday the 20th of October the club will be running a 2 hour endurance karting event at M4 karting. We will run in teams of 4 that will be assigned to get a fair mix of skill levels. Transport is included in the price: a coach will be leaving the University at around 1:30 PM and will be back at around 6:30 PM. Each member should expect to get around 30-35 minutes on track so it is some great value racing.

Please note that balaclavas will have to be purchased there if you don't have your own. Other than that, it is arrive and drive so you do not need your own helmets or suits (but feel free to bring them if you do).

After purchasing a ticket, make sure you are in the Motorsports teams group as we will organise groups in there.

Hope you are all doing well. We thought it best to touch base again to update you on the current situation as we know many of you are keen to get involved with some real in-person events when it is safe to do so.

Firstly, unfortunately, it seems that due to the restrictions in place from the SU we will not be able to commit to the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) testing and Round 1 this year. We apologies if this is disappointing news but we must follow the SU guidelines.

However, there is still the possibility of us being able to attend some of the remaining rounds, providing the SU decides it is safe to do so. We want to know who is interested in these events so we can make plans for how we move forward as these events may not be subsidised as much as would normally be expected.

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing well during these tough times, especially after exams.

As we start the second semester, we just want to let you know we are still active and want to update you all on what we have planned over the coming weeks and months now that exams are over.

Last semester we moved fully online and obviously, the current rules mean we will continue to do so, for now. However, we want to expand on the activities we did last semester, including a motorsport quiz, informal discord chat rooms, and a monthly endurance sim race.
The discord chats will likely take place at 3pm every Saturday and every fortnight we will do a fun quiz there too. Time trials and weekend sim racing will continue so stay tuned on our discord server for the latest info.

Remember to continue to be active on our discord server and let people know if you are keen on playing a certain racing game and hopefully people will be able to join you.

Any questions just ask one of our committee members through any of our socials.

Hi all, just a quick update regarding in-person events following the change in lockdown rules.
The SU are looking to see if it is possible to open certain STV activities. However, as of now the current guidance from the SU is that no in-person events can occur until the new year. Stay tuned for any further updates as things can change fast, and follow all of our other socials for online event information.
