Bath and West 2026.

Our main focus this year was yearling Radford Tina first appearance in the show ring and we must say ,she took everything in her stride ,and taking first place,just a shame she was the only one in her class, looking forward to having her out in the future and letting Big sister Radford Cilla taking a back seat even though she did keep her company this weekend and took a very respectful 2nd place in the mare class amongst good company, so a good 👍 couple of days all round,and thankyou ☺️ to Charlie Charles-Hughes for all your help ,just like the old days working together .

This weekend saw us at Dorset Spring Fair ,where yearling Radford Tina accompanied her big sister Cilla to give her a taste of the showing world ,and we must say she was an absolute angel 😇

Bank Holiday Monday saw us at the first show of the season North Somerset and Radford Cilla taking the mare class sadly she was the only one in it ,she then went on to take champion 🏆 Heavy Horse, huge congratulations to Jamie rose Powell for taking reserve champion with her yearling filly, first time out for both horse and handler

Spent a lovely weekend visiting The National Shire Show held this year at Kelsall Hill Equestrian centre.
Where I had the absolute honour of being the first recipient to be awarded The Shire Horse society Hidden Gem award ,
This award has been created to honour those who are the heart and soul of every operation yet choose to remain quietly in the background,
The award is given in memory of Joan Robinson, Janet Ward and Rosemary Webb three remarkable women who never sought the spot light but worked tirelessly so others could shine

So last week saw Radford Mercury aka Freddie off to his stallion inspection unfortunately he was not to the inspectors liking , but there we go ,and as they say as one door shuts another door opens now to start on our plan B that we have for him .

Today we said goodbye 👋 to 2 yearold Radford Olivia off to pastures new,
We wish her and her new owners all the best 👍 and look forward to seeing what the future holds for her 😀
