A tough result for the boys today, but plenty to be proud of. 💙

It was a great battle throughout the 80 minutes, with both teams working hard and neither creating many clear-cut chances.

Unfortunately, two brilliant free-kicks from Armadale in the second half changed the game and it just got away from us in the closing stages.

The boys kept battling right to the final whistle and will take plenty from the performance. ⚽️💪

Tomorrow we welcome old friends Armadale to Balbardie Park for our third game of the season.

A new league, but a familiar opponent from the last few seasons in West Lothian. The boys go in search of our first win of the season. 💙

A tough game against an excellent Spartans team. Plenty to work on, but positives to take from the game, despite the result.

Matchday Two ⚽️

Our first-ever meeting with Spartans Whites — ready to give it everything in our second game of the season! 💪

A tough start to league life for the boys against a good Preston Athletic side, who finished 4th in Division 2 last season.

The boys competed well in the first half and created some good opportunities, showing plenty of positive signs against a strong opponent. We found ourselves 2-1 down at half time, with Jack grabbing our goal after rounding the Preston keeper brilliantly and finishing well.

There’s lots to be positive about, but the boys also know how hard they’ll need to work to compete consistently at this level. Today was a good learning experience and gives us plenty to build on.

We dust ourselves down, take the positives and get ready for another tough test next week as we head to Edinburgh to face Spartans.

After a well-earned summer break, Bathgate Thistle 2011 Whites return to training on Tuesday 21st July as we prepare for the new season, which kicks off on 16th August. With plenty to look forward to, we're looking to add a few players to our squad ahead of the new campaign.
