Bucks Senior Ladies participated in the 10 Counties Senior Team Competition at Weybrook Park GC in Hampshire on 20 September. This scratch medal competition has a long history and rotates around the 10 southern counties. Sue Adams, Liz Keens, Kadda Mohamed and Susanna Mitterer tackled the tough greens in brilliant summer sunshine. Co Gratulation to the winners: Sussex besting Hampshire on count back!

Congratulations to BCLGA player Amelie Jones on being selected to represent Wales in their recent match against the English Schools Golf Association.

Amelie put in a fantastic performance, winning her singles match and securing a half in her foursomes match, helping Wales secure an impressive 16–8 victory! 👏

Highlighting great work off the course as well as on the course - Woburn Junior Captain and BCLGA player, Charlotte, raised an incredible £2,610 for The Golf Foundation during her Junior Captain's Day.

After organising a Texas Scramble, presentation and BBQ for a whopping 116 players, Charlotte was then invited to play at The Grove and present her cheque to Nick Dougherty.

Wishing our very own Amelia Curtis a huge congratulations on becoming the Women's West of England Matchplay Championship winner for 2026.

Originally winning the War Memorial Trophy to qualify for the Matchplay Championship, Amelia went on to secure her second victory of the week with a 2&1 win against Taylor Hodgson.

The BCLGA County Championship got under way at Woburn GC yesterday incorporating the Intermediate Cup & Seniors Championship: a full field tackled the Dukes course with the afternoon round briefly interrupted by a thunderstorm - nevertheless some great scores from some new (and more mature) talent. Winner of the Intermediate Cup: Amelia Curtis (Lambourne). Best Net over 18 holes: Georgina Grieve (Woburn) just 11 years of age. Seniors Champion: Susanna Mitterer (Woburn). Our first 2nd team county league match of the season. A draw v Berkshire at Royal Ascot golf club. We drew the morning foursomes 1.5 to 1.5 and both teams won 3 and lost 3 of the afternoon singles to make the final result a draw 4.5 points for each county.
