Every time you crash diet it makes it even harder to get rid of stubborn fat.

If you are struggling to lose love handles and man b***s, despite your efforts ...

Then this is for you.

What most guys do when wanting to lose fat is cut back on a lot of calories which leads to them missing out on key nutrients.

Going low calorie—while it will help you lose weight fast, will actually slow down your metabolism and tank your thyroid and T levels.

The process is called metabolic adaptation. As your body adjusts to the lower calorie intake, it becomes increasingly difficult to burn fat.

Lowering your calorie intake too fast will also increase fatigue in both your body and mind.
Craving salty and sweet foods for a quick burst of energy throughout your day could easily sabotage your efforts and slow you down.

Metabolic adaptation will then cause a weight loss plateau.

When unable to break through a weight loss plateau, you get demotivated. You feel like losing the man b***s and love handles feels nearly impossible.

And so what happens in most cases is that guys give up on their diet and exercise routines and slap the weight back on they worked so hard to lose.

Like many guys, Dennis had tried this approach before.
Sometimes two or three times a year (which should be a hint it doesn’t work long-term).

He's now gone through my reverse dieting protocol part of The Ion Method and he’s dropped all the excess fat from his chest, belly and back and looks like a different man.

Reverse dieting is a method that involves slowly and strategically increasing daily food intake, all in an effort to raise your metabolism.

What a lot of guys don't realize is that it's very doable to get down to 15% body fat even if you're in your 40s and 50s.

You do need to diet properly however and then reverse diet at the right point in time to bump up your metabolism which will help you break through your plateaus.

If you diet too hard and for too long you'll end up stuck and frustrated just like Dennis before he started with me.

Similar to chess, reaching the 12-15% body fat range while losing the man b***s and love handles requires making strategic moves at the right time.

I’ve been chatting with many guys who travel a lot for business. And this is what one guy said to me before he joined the plan.

I get it. Jet lag can make business travel a hassle, leaving you feeling disoriented, tired and eating poorly to get through the day. . .

Gaining more weight by the end of your trip.

But what if there was a secret to beating it?

There is, and it's called preserving your sleeping window.

When you travel to a new time zone, your body can struggle to adjust to the new sleep schedule.

Preserving your usual sleeping window is one way to help your body adapt more quickly.

This means sticking to your regular sleep schedule by sleeping during the day or staying up later than usual.

In addition to preserving your sleeping window, avoiding eating during your regular sleeping hours is essential.

Your digestion is closely linked to your circadian rhythm, so eating at the wrong time can disrupt sleep. Making jet lag and weight gain worse.

So if you want to beat jet lag and lose weight while you enjoy your business trip to the fullest. . .

Preserve your sleeping window and avoid eating during your usual sleep hours.

This is one way to stay in shape and perform at your peak, regardless of your travel schedule.

Truth is you’re not struggling because of your age. Or because you love a beer and a burger with your mates.

You’re struggling because of the story you tell yourself. Telling yourself your too busy and your wife loves you just the way you are. . .

When I first met Mark Thompson, his business and general life had been going well, but he was emotionally drained and felt like he needed to make some changes.

Making quick, emotionally charged decisions forces you to make decisions that don’t benefit you now or in the future.

I get it. You want to look and feel better than you do now and look better than you did when you were younger.

But you keep making irrational decisions based on how someone else looks and feels.

You’ve heard stories about how your future self will be proud of you.

You hear them all the time.

Well, your future self is probably really pi**ed off with you. Because you keep making the same decisions repeatedly and expecting a different outcome.

When you tried that restrictive diet and started walking every night when you got home from the office.

What happened?

You lost some weight, right?

And then the next time you went out for food with your partner, you inhaled everything on the menu. Eating as you’ve never been fed.

And I bet you felt guilty afterwards, so you started to starve yourself to get back on track.

And now you’re stuck on this hamster wheel of;

Diet and restrict.
Overeat.
Feel guilty.
Diet and restrict. . . Again.

And so on.

And not once did you start to look or feel like the guy everyone strains their neck to look at when he walks by.

The thing holding you back will be the thing setting you free.

And the late Her Majesty the Queen will help you.

If there’s one thing, I’ve learned from speaking to the thousands of guys who have gone through The Ion Method over the years…

It's the fear that comes with admitting you need help transforming yourself.

I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to acknowledge that you need assistance in bettering yourself.

It was no different for me when I came back from my injury that left me with a broken back.

But if I can offer you any words of encouragement to take action on regaining your body confidence and ability to get back in shape, it’s this.

In September 2022, Her Majesty, The Queen of the UK and the commonwealth passed away.

Over five months have passed, and more than likely, you have not thought about her until now. Reading this.

That’s because life goes on.

We’ll all die someday (unless Elon figures something out).

I will. And so will you.

The people who love you will be sad.

But they will move on. Sometimes in a matter of days or a few short weeks.

No matter how long, your life is too short not to do what you want to do.

If you’re waiting for a sign to permit you to get in shape. Get strong. Get the six-pack…

Whatever.

This is it.

You’re a long time gone.

Enjoy your time here by being in the best body shape you can be in for as long as possible.

What got you there won’t keep you there.

A guy I spoke to recently told me he got in great shape doing keto…

And he doesn’t need a plan. He’ll do keto again. And that’ll be enough for him to get in shape again.

And it’s true.

He probably will end up in decent shape again.

Because for the time he’s eating keto, he’ll stay focused and disciplined long enough to see measurable results.

Two to three months later, however…

Well, it’ll be a different story.

Once again, he’ll be trying to speak to me to ask how he can get and stay in great shape.

The thing is, until this guy is entirely ready to embrace a new way of approaching his goals…

I won’t be speaking to him.

The keto diet is excellent…

For some people.

The biggest problem with it, however.

It’s not sustainable.

Science backs up this claim also.

In a recent report published in the Stanford Medical journal, they said:

“What we were hearing is that some people just couldn’t do the keto because it was too restrictive.”

Yes, a few initially found it more straightforward to focus on avoiding carbs. Then, however, they found it much more difficult to continue eating this way.

When leading a stressful lifestyle, you need your diet to be as straightforward as possible.

You don’t have time to figure out how many carbs are in a meal. And will you still be in a ketogenic state if you eat them?

You may well have had results. But, it wasn’t long-lasting results.
It was a sticking plaster.

You don’t need any more temporary solutions.

You don’t have time for them.

You could eat pizza or burgers in your twenties and not think twice about it.

You’re older now with far more responsibilities and priorities to worry about.

Stressing about eating a keto diet, though it helped you get in shape before…

Is adding to your problem of getting back in shape now.

If you want to look great when you take your shirt off, you should start thinking about your meals in a way that supports this goal instead of making them more complex and harder to maintain.

One of the biggest obstacles preventing you from getting back in shape is your approach to training.

Not just your nutrition, as is commonly believed.

Although what you eat, when, and how much is essential. It's only a starting point. Actual results come from your training methods.

Nobody ever got lean and jacked by eating less and walking more.

You’ll be able to lose the gut, but you’ll end up with a skinny fat physique.

If that’s what you’re going for, then that’s ok.

But if you’re a guy who was once in shape and wants to regain it...

The structure of your workout is critical to achieving your goal of a toned physique with abs.

What most guys do when trying to get back in shape is follow a generic program from a PT or a free plan they found online.

The biggest issue with this is the majority of these plans are your standard run-of-the-mill training program, only focusing on one element of hypertrophy (increase + growth of muscle cells)

It's the reason why you struggle to reach your desired outcome.

The Ion Method works with multiple elements. Combining them into specific workouts to get the best results.

One element very few coaches and personal trainers think about is metabolic stress.

The Ion Method uses a system to manipulate this stress in the body and signal the muscles to adapt by increasing their size.

This stress generates high levels of lactic acid, leading to a breakdown of glycogen and resulting in muscle burn.

Depleting glycogen increases fat oxidation, allowing the body to use fat as fuel instead of breaking down protein.

This results in preserving lean muscle mass and burning more fat.

Jeff was an avid runner who loved tracking his progress and fitness levels.

He was always on the lookout for new gadgets and tools to help him improve his performance. One day, while browsing online, he came across a heart rate strap costing only £20.

It seemed like a great deal, and he bought it.

He was thrilled with his new purchase.

The strap was small and lightweight. Easy to use and has all the features needed to track heart rate and other fitness metrics.

Yet, after only six weeks of use, the strap broke.

He contacted the supplier, who sent him a replacement…

But his excitement was short-lived.

The replacement strap also broke after seven weeks. Frustrated and disappointed...

He realised he got caught in the trap of buying cheap, costing him more in the long run.
