What a week!
Beckenham SKC had the honour of hosting Hakizume Sensei for a kata course — and he absolutely delivered! 👊🔥 Two fantastic sessions packed with learning, followed by a great meal and plenty of laughs.

Not only that, she’s now officially the youngest ever Nidan at Beckenham! 🔥 What an incredible achievement!

What an amazing day at the Beckenham & Shirley SKC Annual Charity Kata-thon!

This year, we took on the challenge of raising funds for Croydon University Hospital’s Critical Care (ICU) Fund and the incredible Dreams Come True charity.

Our dedicated students completed three hours of non-stop kata — with just 30-second water breaks — across three sessions led by three outstanding Sensei. Their focus, energy, and determination were truly inspiring!

We set a fundraising target of £3,000, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve already surpassed it — raising £3,775 so far… and counting!
