Up against Queenspark Crescents U8s today away from home and every single one of our boys absolutely smashed it for effort couldn’t be prouder of them 👏

They kept playing their football the right way passing, moving, and being brave on the ball. That’s what it’s all about at this level, and it was brilliant to watch.

Games like this are where the real learning happens far more valuable than just running up big scores. The boys showed real character, moved the ball quickly, and genuinely competed throughout.

Special mention to Henry. Both coaches said "it was his best game yet"

🏆 goes to the determined Tarun who gave it everything and fully deserved this recognition.

To top it off, the opposition coach couldn’t believe our lads were only 6–7 years old says it all really!

We also said goodbye to one of our own today Seb G, who has been with the team since the very start. A fantastic lad and a big part of this group 💙 The whole team wishes him all the very best for the future.

⚽️ Proud team, proud coaches, proud parents ⚽️

Bedford Town Under 7s enjoyed a truly unforgettable evening as they travelled to Leicester City Football Club for a special experience that will live long in the memory of players, coaches, and families alike.

The occasion was never about the scorelines it was about giving the boys the opportunity to soak up a professional environment, enjoy top-class facilities, and create memories together as a team. From the moment they arrived, the excitement was clear to see, and the atmosphere only added to what was already an incredible experience.

That said, these boys don’t do things by halves.

Showing remarkable spirit, teamwork, and resilience, Bedford Town Under 7s went on to win all 5️⃣ of their matches on the night including a stunning comeback from 3️⃣-0️⃣down in one game.

It was a performance that perfectly captured the character of this group: fearless, determined, and full of belief in one another.

What makes this achievement even more special is how far they’ve come in such a short space of time. Having only been playing together in the league since September, their development, togetherness, and understanding on the pitch is nothing short of outstanding.

Every single player should be incredibly proud. The commitment, professionalism, and pure determination shown throughout the evening was a credit not only to themselves, but to the badge they wear.

Of course, behind every great team is great leadership. A huge thank you must go to Coach Matt and Coach Alex, whose dedication, guidance, and motivation have played a massive role in shaping this group. The progress these boys have made is a direct reflection of the time, effort, and passion you both put in week after week.

An amazing night, an incredible experience, and a team full of absolute legends. The future is very bright for Bedford Town Under 7s. ⚽️

A tough fixture for the boys, but one that showed exactly what this team is about resilience, effort and sticking together right until the final whistle.

From the first minute to the last, every single player put a shift in and never let their heads drop. The opposition were sharp on the break and caught us out at times, but the attitude and work rate from the lads was spot on and that’s what we focus on.

🏆 Man of the Match – James
A brilliant all-round performance, capped off with a fantastic run and delivery across the pitch to set up Lucas. Fully deserved!

⚽️ Goalscorers
Tarun – A strong performance and well-taken goal. Unlucky not to come away with more!

Teddy – Battled hard all game and got his reward with a goal late on 👏

Lucas – Led the line brilliantly, driving forward with real intent throughout and finishing well.

At the back, Seb L and Oscar put their bodies on the line as always, taking some tough moments in their stride and getting straight back up proper defensive work 👊

Henry pulled off some great saves and showed real improvement with quicker distribution — great to see that development.

Overall, a game full of lessons, and the kind that builds character and grit as we head towards tournament season. The step up lately has been a big one, but the lads are learning loads and adapting every week and as coaches, we’re proud of that 💙

A really close and entertaining game today, with the boys showing great character right through to the final whistle 🙌

A slower start than we know they’re capable of, but what really stood out was how they kept going and finished the game strongly – especially in the last two quarters where we saw some brilliant football and real determination 💪

Lucas was outstanding today and fully deserved his Man of the Match, holding things together and driving the team forward 👏

Big shout out as well to Oscar, who was solid throughout and delivered some great balls over the top, and Seb G, whose energy and desire to get on the scoresheet was clear from the first minute great effort from both of you 👏

Plenty of positives to take, and lots we can build on as we keep developing that fighting spirit and teamwork will take us a long way 🙌

Onwards and upwards 🦅

Bedford Town Under 7s V Brickhill Under 8s

On what was a lovely sunny Mothering Sunday, the lads had a tough but important game against a strong Brickhill side. Days like today are all part of the football journey and development, and sometimes the biggest lessons come from the toughest matches.

Credit to Brickhill who were a tall, physical side and communicated really well throughout the game. It’s something we’ll take away and continue to work on in training.

The positive is that the boys kept going, showed moments of quality with some well taken goals, and we know exactly what this group is capable of.

One off day doesn’t define the team it’s all part of learning and growing together.

Sometimes you have a bad day at the office but we regroup, we learn, and we go again next week 🦅⚽️

Match Report From Coach Alex

Well done today, all. You were on it from the first whistle 🙌

Henry absolutely deserved Man of the Match. You kept us in it when it mattered and looked sharp all game. Brilliant performance. 👏

It was 100% effort across the pitch. We worked the ball wide really well and looked strong throughout. Yes, we lost our shape slightly at times and we need to keep scanning and communicating better, but that will come. As we move up the leagues, small errors get highlighted more that’s part of the journey, and focused training will iron those bits out.

Overall me and Coach Matt genuinely couldn’t have asked for more today. I know my expectations are high, but you lads smashed it and handled everything thrown at you. Proud of you all. 💙

Heres to our coaches ⚽️⚽️⚽️

They don’t get paid.

They don’t get bonuses.

They don’t get trophies for dedication.

They don’t get headlines.

What they do get…

Is rain on a Tuesday night.

Early Saturday/Sunday alarms.

Mud on their boots.

And responsibility for other people’s children.

They give up evenings with their own families
to help yours.

They finish work…
and start coaching.

They miss meals.

They sacrifice weekends.

They will spend their own money on equipment.

They plan sessions late at night
when nobody’s watching.

They don’t do it for money.

They don’t do it for praise.

They do it because a child smiling,
improving,
growing in confidence…

is worth more than any pay cheque.

Volunteer coaches are the real heartbeat of football.

Without them — there is no game. ❤️⚽️

Tag a coach who deserves real appreciation👇🏻

Sounds like an absolutely fantastic performance and a great team effort this morning over in MK!

Congratulations to Oscar on being named Man of the Match for his focus and discipline in tracking his man.

A big shoutout to Teddy (hat-trick!) and Lucas & James for their scoring efforts.

It’s brilliant to hear that the team's intensity and composure paid off, especially against a challenging opponent, and that the quick passing style was too much for them.

Furthermore, receiving high praise for professionalism and sportsmanship from the opposition coach is just as important.

Well deserved praise for the players and parents enjoy the rest and get ready for the new season next week! ⚽️🏆⚽️

What a performance from the boys today 🔥 even with this horrendous weather and also short on players due to holidays 😉 and sadly sickness. You stepped up, marched on and certainly delivered!

Huge thanks to rovers for allowing us to use one of your pitches.

Match report from coach Alex ⬇️⬇️

"One of our strongest starts to a game and some of the best link-up play we’ve seen all season. The passing is improving week on week and it really showed."

MOTM Theo 🏆
"Outstanding determination and easily your best game yet. Brilliant positioning and two goal-saving blocks that were heading in! Stepped forward when needed and gave us a solid presence throughout. Proper shift put in" 👏
