It's time for this year's Pub Quiz!
Free entry into the Parlour bar for our Gaming themed quiz with prizes to be won! :)

Event Details:
💠 Where: Parlour Bar - Opposite the SU Union Bar
💠 When: Tuesday 27th of January - Doors 7:00pm, Quiz 7:15pm.
💠 Teams: Max 6 people per team.
💠 Quiz Format: Multiple rounds of varying difficulty
Questions will be gaming themed varying from soundtracks, pictures, Esports, general knowledge and more!

We will be in Laverys afterwards with student deals giving you pints from £4!

We're excited to invite you to our Halloween Bingo Event on Wednesday 29th October at 7PM at Reboot Gaming Café!

Costumes are highly encouraged + there will be prizes for the best ones, so don't be shy!

After Bingo, we have some tables booked at Lavery's!

We can't wait to see you there!

Note: The kitchen at Reboot closes at 7:30PM, if you are looking food order before 7!

QUBLAN 2025 – Overwatch 2 🔥

We’re excited to announce that Overwatch 2 is officially coming to QUBLAN 2025!

📅 Dates: August 16–17
📍Location: QUB Computer Science Building (16 Malone Rd, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT9 5BN)

Tournament Info:
PCs and monitors will be provided
Bringing your own headset and preferred peripherals is recommended

Team cap is currently at 8 Teams, with potential to expand to 12 depending on demand.
(Qualifiers may be held if the event is oversubscribed)

Tournament Format:
Start time: 10:00 AM
Hero bans WILL be in effect

Day 1: Qualifier matches
Day 2: Top 6 teams advance to playoffs

Tickets go live on FIXR tomorrow, 08/07/25 at 3PM

Team Cap Reached ✨

Hey everyone just a quick announcement to tell everyone that the team cap has been reached. The 8 teams will be announced here very soon!

We have heard some extra teams showing interest after all the tickets were sold out. However, after an immense amount of discussions. We decided that we couldn't deliver a solution that will increase the team capacity without impacting the experience of the current 8 teams in such a short timeframe. Sorry for any disappointments. We will look to offer bigger events in the future in light of the interest we have received.

QUBLAN Updated Information

Changes from BYOC to Non-BYOC 💻

We have heard from a number of players that a Bring your own computer (BYOC) format is not very accessible for those travelling some distance. We have reached a compromise that will allow everyone to take part without bringing a PC. We have worked out a solution with generous assistance from Poddy to host the LAN in the New QUB Gaming Cafe for BOTH days. Peripherals (Monitor, Keyboard, Mice, Headset, Mouse mat) will be provided but players are welcome to bring their own.

Due to the above changes to provide a better experience for our players, we have to limit the event to **8 teams**, this will allow all 8 teams to play in both days of the event. This means that there is only space for 2 more teams to sign up.

Valorant Changes
To facilitate the above changes, Valorant will be cancelled to prioritise the quality of CS2 this year.

Accommodation Updates 🏠
Unfortunately, we have been unable to secure reliable accommodation as of now. However, we are still trying to secure accommodation for players. If you are unsure about taking part due to accommodation please DM me and I will give you live updates and try to facilitate where possible. If you want to avail of accommodation please contact me in my DMs, I'll need to get rough numbers to see if it is viable.

Ticket Sale Extension
Due to the changes we have decided that it would only be fair for signups to be extended. The new ticket sale cutoff date is now the 8th of June.

BYOC Setup - No equipment available to rent for players.
The hard LAN cap is 12 teams due to power delivery restrictions in the venue. In the event of more signups than we can facilitate the first 12 **full** teams that have paid for tickets and requested roles will be participating in the tournament. Any other ticket purchases will be refunded.
