South Belfast Alternatives project aiming to build relationships we train together, we learn from each other we aim to collectively finish 2024 Belfast Marathon

Today was a day of triumph for us as we crossed the finish line of our first marathon. It was no easy feat, but with determination and the unwavering support of our coach Brian, we managed to complete 42.2km with our heads held high. The past few months have been a challenging journey for us, as most of us were unfamiliar with running and training routines. But today, we proved that with dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.
We are also running for a charitable cause, aiming to save young lives. Just a small donation of one pound can make a significant impact. So let this be a toast to our success and the lives that we are helping to change. Please donateπ

While some of you will be enjoying the convenience of a long weekend, our group will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon, fighting against the distance, the weather, and our own weaknesses. For most of us, this will be the first time challenging ourselves against a 42.2km race.
So far, we have raised a whopping Β£675 donated by 41 supporters. Thank you for your kind donations. We are incredibly proud to share with you the amazing transformation of Eddie from St. Malachis Youth Group in South Belfast. π From being a self-proclaimed sofa warrior, Eddie has now become a full-scale long-distance runner, thanks to his participation in the PACE project. πββοΈ His dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we couldn't be happier for him.
Eddie recently shared his thoughts on his involvement in the PACE project, highlighting how it has helped him discover his passion for running and pushed him to achieve things he never thought possible. His journey is truly inspiring, and we hope that it will motivate others to pursue their own goals and dreams.
We can't wait to see where Eddie's newfound love for running will take him next! Keep up the amazing work, Eddie! πͺ
