Albert Foundry Academy FC

Another weekend of inclusion football completed for Albert Foundry Seniors in the 2nd and final round of banding day.

Both teams are currently enjoying every minute of their football and it showed on the pitch with both teams playing some quick free flowing football. All their hard work and effort in training is starting to show in their matches and fully deserved for this fantastic group of people.

Both teams completed their weekend with 3 wins each out of 3 with the A team keeping a clean sheet in all their matches and the B team only concerning 2 in their 3 games.

Special mention to Lewis Jones who has only been with the Foxes for a few months getting his 1st goal for the club.

Well done to our Tandoori Kitchen Man Of The Match Logan👏🏻

Played today as striker which is an unfamiliar role to his usual and came away with two goals only to be forced to come off due to getting injured👏🏻

Again this week we tried lads in different positions and they didn’t disappoint and adapted to them very well💪

Well done all the lads today, more of a team performance to the past couple of weeks even on a terrible pitch the lads moved the ball better and quicker trying to keep possession and worked hard for each other when we lost it.

All in all a big improvement from recent weeks and a level of football we need to carry into our matches.

3 points in the bag this weekend so onto Tuesday night now we’re we expect a good attendance and big effort in training from all the boys🔵⚪️

Really good game this morning for our greens we were by far the best team in the 1st half but just couldn't put the ball in the net and ended up going behind a couple of goal but the 2nd half was different we ended up getting a goal back with a good strike from Harley and then Mason scored the equaliser and just when it looked like we would get the winner they broke threw and scored the 3rd goal at the end😮‍💨but the boys done really well and very unlucky not to get something out of the game but thats football... today MOTM went to jax who was super today with his dribbling and tackling so well done mate👍

Very unlucky tonight boys just wasn't our night but with a couple of players missing i still thought we were the better team we just made too many mistakes giving easy goals but hopefully we learnt from it and take it into the next game. Tonight's MOTM went to super sub Reuben who came on and scored 2 fantastic goals so well done mate👍 on to the next 1💙⚽️💙

What a result today really well done to all players that was best performance of season !! To beat a team who beat us 5 at start of season just shows how far the players have come 👏👏 no player of match today because we had 16 really well done to all !!!!!

2016/17
Cold one tonight again for the boys but thought they started very well, a lull in the game and they fell behind but like they always do, they made a game of it and the 2nd half was a different story! They all worked their socks off and played with their head and shoulders up with a good mix of football and fight💪🏻 only for a few very good saves from the goalkeeper i’d of said we’d of swayed that game in our favour! player of the week is ⭐Noah⭐ who’s embodied what we have been looking for in the boys, listening in training, working his socks off but most important carrying it out on the pitch with a great attitude and open ears! We can see he’s improving in his ability but also his confidence as a young lad! Well done Noah and well done boys💙

Overall good day at it for the boys today! Plenty of positives individually and as a team🙏🏻 young Joe showed intelligence covering his teammates positions at the back and scoring a halfway line goal from it was the highlight of this! This weeks player of the week goes to Ben who was great at going foward in the first game and at the opposite end was a wall when he was locked in💪🏻 the only sticky part he had is when his shorts had him in an ankle lock🤣 Well done everyone see yous monday💙

Played today’s game as right back, a position he doesn’t normally play and never stopped running all game and let very little get passed him👏🏻

Honestly I’m disappointed in today’s result especially on the basis of our first half performance, we simply didn’t show up and didn’t want to know which lead to us being 2-0 down at half time.

The boys showed a bit more grit second half but again conceded another before finally waking up and switching on to peg it back and unlucky not to get the equaliser.

These teams are all beatable but our boys need to be up for it from the start!!! reason why we need all lads at training for things to work on⚽️

Tonight Albert Foundry Inclusion welcomed Belfast City Inclusion to Paisley Park for a mixed ability 9 aside friendly.

Both teams played some fantastic football throughout the match and both teams thought competitively until the final whistle.

But tonight was more important than a result, tonight was 2 fantastic disability clubs coming together and playing football the way it should be.

Tonight football was definitely the winner.

Everyone from Albert Foundry wish Belfast City Inclusion the best of luck for the season ahead.
