International Learn to Swim Programme – STA.co.uk

AFTERNOON GUYS,

Hope we all enjoying the start if the week. We, at JEM are just doing the updates from our lessons at the weekend and we thought we would provide some information about the grading and classes.

We go by STA International swim programme to help our swimmers progress. Link below leads you to the website in which you can see all the awards.

Our classes are broken down to these independent classes with the teacher in the water.

⭐NEW BEGINNERS ⭐From aged 3yrs a child can be placed into the group and should be able to achieve their Stanley 1. Watersafety, floating basic skills are the aims.

⭐BEGINNERS ⭐Our beginners need to achieve Stanley 1-4 before moving up. In these classes it's focus on the front and back crawl and breathing technique.

⭐BEGINNER+⭐ Focus is defining the front/back crawl and adding in breaststroke. STANLEY 5-8

⭐IMPROVERS⭐ The strokes above and adding butterfly increasing stamina through distance and turns. Goldfish1-3 Angelfish 1-3

⭐SWIMMERS⭐ distance, all three strokes and lifesaving/survival. Shark and above.
