Feeling stronger 🥳🥳
Not everything makes it to instagram but here are some client updates from the last few months!
Big shout out to Tony (first slide) proving every session how athletic he is and that building strength past 65 is very much possible.
If you’re interested in getting stronger, looking leaner or just wanting to feel healthier and more present in your body, I have some new weekly slots opening up.

A snapshot of the S&C we’ve been doing to prepare Saran for running the marathon in April.
Exercises include:
1. A-skips for hip focused running biomechanics
2. Deep pulse lunges and plyos for tendon stiffness and reactive strength efficiency
3. Hip thrusts for hip flexor/glute strength
4. Unilateral hip extension and flexion for building stability and improving running symmetry
5. Step up with knee drive for single leg strength, stability and hip flexion
5. Loaded core exercises to improve stability
He also has a separate gym based program he does in his own time involving the core strength components of hinging, lunging, squatting, pushing and pulling.
Really great work overall 😁

Plyometrics improve how quickly you can express force and should be a vital part of any S&C program. However they’re most effective and have a lower risk of injury when there’s strength underneath.
Heavy lifting builds force capacity, improves tendon stiffness, and helps the body tolerate landing forces. Without it, plyos increase injury risk rather than reduce it.
Always make sure if you’re jumping and running a lot you’re also lifting too!

Making sure you’re training your back is something everyone should be doing.
You’re building strength, improving posture and reversing the effect of all the sitting we do daily.

Following on for my recent post, here’s more info about my special interest: hamstrings!
Strong and functional hamstrings are crucial for speed, power, and injury prevention. Short or weak hamstrings don’t just slow you down, they massively increase your risk of injuries.
Targeted exercises like Swiss ball curls, single-leg RDLs, and Nordic curls build strength, improve performance, and protect your hamstrings from those frustrating injuries that take weeks to heal.
You can see more info on this in my most recent post!

Throwback Tuesday: taken in 2021 this is a pic of one of my long term clients .binnie
Martin and I have trained for over 6 years now and in that time he’s gained a significant amount of athleticism and lost over 20 kilos of body weight.
How? Trust and consistency.
Martin trusts me as a coach and I respect him and him and his goals. Over time we have built that coaching relationship which has allowed him to develop and thrive. He’s also consistent with his training, even with a busy job and large life commitments he prioritises his training.
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in 2026 😁
