We tried a new route tonight along the river. It was lovely to see the Humber bridge from a different angle with plenty of interesting things to see.
It will be ideal for when other routes are too muddy in the winter.

It had a very autumnal feel to today’s Monday morning Nordic walk. A little cooler and a lovely fresh smell after last night’s rain, all made for a really refreshing morning walk around the Westwood. Even the cows look relieved it was a little cooler!!!
It’s always great when we can celebrate a birthday. Happy 30th birthday Pete!! 🥳 😉
Well done everyone and see you all again soon.
Toodaloo now.

A little hill work, some shepherding and plenty of chat was the order of the day, making for a nice pleasant Nordic walk around Beverley Westwood.
As it heated up we headed for some welcome shade, going through Burton Bushes and along the avenue of trees.
Thank you for coming and hope to see you again soon.

For August’s weekend away walk we visited the beach. We set off early to avoid the heat, and the breeze off the sea made for very pleasant walking.
We checked out the rock pools but we only found a sea urchin, which on closer inspection was a lost dog ball!! ( Spectacles required).
Afterwards we visited the Brid Spa cafe and tested the wonderful cakes. We will be back.
Thank you for coming and hope to see you again soon.

So for the first time in a very long time, it actually felt coolish when we started our warm up today for our Monday morning Nordic walk. 🥶 But don’t worry, normal service was soon resumed and things warmed up nicely! 😎
We got to watch the local Kestrel looking for its breakfast. It even sort of came and said “hello”!! So we ran 2 groups today offering a variety of terrain for people to enjoy.😉 Some flatter stuff and some slightly more lumpy stuff. 🥵
Everyone seemed to make it look very easy!! We will have to work the troops harder next time!🤭
Well done everyone and see you all again soon.
Toodaloo now.

It’s the last Monday of the month, so that means it’s “Away Walk Monday“!! Today we visited a route we haven’t done for a few months.
We had a great turnout on a warm and breezy day, but not ridiculous to be fair. The route we did today has some archaeological ruins dating back to Henry VIII. They are hard to see now but have strong archaeological significance for the area. Post walk refreshments came in the form of cake and sausage rolls being particularly popular! Well done everyone thanks for coming and see you all again soon. 👍

I honour of Spoonerism day……
On a beautiful evening we set off along Fessle Horeshore. There were lots of Weautiful Bildflowers. The return leg gave us great views of the Bummer Hridge. The spoonerism gave us much to chat about and Luch Maughter.
Thank you for coming and hope to see you again soon.

Today’s Monday morning recipe is inspired by an amazing weekend of sport. Makes enough for between 20-30 people. Instructions are included below!! 🤤😂
Take 25 Nordic Walkers and a gently make ready using various stretching and relaxation techniques. Roast gently for approximately 1hr 20minutes in a preheated space at 20 degrees. Lightly infuse with fresh pollen and other fragrant aromas. Gently add a dozen English cricketers and mix well using a cricket bat. Combine well with one perfectly rip Kiwi 🏌🏻♂️. Watch that golf ball size lumps do not form in the mix. If further flavouring is required, a generous amount off Superb Spainsh paella spice will do the trick!!
If the mixture starts to dry out, check moisture levels and don’t be frightened to rehydrate accordingly using an elegant Italian 🏎️!!
After approximately 1hr turn down the heat and leave to rela # # # # # # !💆
Make sure everything is cooked throughly!!!
Have a good day everyone and see you all soon. 👍

On a warm summers evening we set off along the rail trail to Swine. We set off an hour early in order that we didn’t miss a certain football match. ⚽️🏴
It was lovely to see all the fields golden in the sunlight and the farmers busy bringing in the harvest.
Thank you for coming and hope to see you again soon.

It’s a lovely Monday morning with clear blue skies greeting our intrepid band of Nordic Walkers. It’s positively freezing today, a mere 18 degrees!! 🥶. Bobble hats, thermals, thick gloves and thermos flasks are order of the day!! 😂
Mindful that temperatures are maybe still a little on the warm side for some, we had a very pleasant amble around the East Yorkshire Serengeti, with the local Wilder beast for wildlife company!🐂
Have a good day everyone and see you all soon.
