One of the things I spend the longest thinking about when I’m planning a retreat is how much not to put into the schedule.

Of course there are Pilates sessions, shared meals and experiences that we’ll enjoy together, but I never want anyone to feel as though they have to rush from one thing to the next just because it’s written on a timetable.

Some people will spend an afternoon reading by the pool. Others will take a walk through the vineyards or simply sit with a coffee and enjoy the sunshine.

There isn’t a right way to spend that time.

I think so much of everyday life is already planned for us. We spend our days looking after other people, making decisions and thinking about what’s next.

For a few days, I want that to be different.

Sometimes the most restorative thing isn’t another activity. It’s having the freedom to choose exactly what you need in that moment.

You’d think sitting down with a cup of tea or reading a book for half an hour would feel relaxing, but sometimes my mind is still racing through everything I could be doing instead. I’ll suddenly remember an email I haven’t replied to, something I need to buy or a job I meant to finish, and before I know it I’ve talked myself out of slowing down altogether.

I don’t think I’m the only one who feels like that.

Perhaps we’ve become so used to being busy that stopping can feel unfamiliar, even when it’s exactly what we need.

It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about creating spaces where people don’t have to think about what’s next. For a little while, someone else has planned the day, the food is taken care of and there’s nothing to achieve.

Sometimes that’s all it takes to remember what real rest feels like.

What if the magic wasn’t in the next big trip, the next achievement, or the next thing to tick off?

What if it was hidden in the everyday?

Lately, I’ve been finding joy in the simplest things.

A few quiet moments in my swinging egg chair, gently rocking back and forth. It’s amazing how something so simple can soothe the nervous system and create an instant sense of calm.

Taking the time to enjoy the foods and drinks I genuinely love, rather than rushing through them while multitasking. Setting the table nicely, using the good mug, savouring the flavours.

Watching the evening light change.

Listening to music while I potter around the kitchen.

Sitting outside with my feet on the grass.

None of these things are life-changing on their own.

But together, they remind me that feeling good doesn’t always require a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s about creating small moments that make you feel cared for, present, and a little bit special.

Because a beautiful life isn’t built from the occasional highlight reel.

It’s built from the everyday moments we choose to notice.

I’d love to know—what’s one simple thing that’s making your days feel a little more magical right now?

I spend far longer thinking about the menus at my events than most people would probably expect.

The food is always important to me. I want it to feel fresh, nourishing and full of flavour, but it’s never really just about the food.

Some of my favourite moments from retreats happen around the table. Conversations that start over coffee and continue through lunch. People sharing stories, laughing together and getting to know one another.

There’s something special about gathering people together over good food and giving them the time to properly enjoy it.

It’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to creating these experiences.

A little reminder for anyone who needs it today 🤎

One of the biggest misconceptions about working in wellness is that somehow you’ve got it all figured out.

The truth? We’re all human. We all have periods where life feels a little out of balance, and our bodies are usually the first to let us know.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed a few signs from mine. More aches and stiffness, less energy, feeling a little more bloated than usual. Nothing dramatic, just gentle nudges that something needed my attention.

I’ve learned that when this happens, it’s rarely the big changes that make the difference. It’s the small, consistent things.

So lately I’ve been starting my mornings with lemon tea, eating breakfast in the garden with my feet on the grass whenever the sun appears, slowing down at meal times, and making sleep more of a priority.

Simple things. Easy things. Things that feel nourishing rather than overwhelming.

I’ve also been making more space for fun.

I love music and I love to dance, so I’ve started putting on my favourite upbeat songs while I’m getting ready in the morning. It’s such a small shift, but it completely changes the energy of my day.

A reminder that wellness isn’t about perfection.

It’s about staying curious, listening to your body, and making small adjustments that help you feel more like yourself again.

So I’d love to know... what’s one small thing that’s making a difference to your wellbeing right now?

Please stay here as long as you like 🤎

Breathe.

Listen.

Give yourself permission to stop a while.

It’s hard to find the time to slow down. Everything feels so rushed these days. Many of us struggle to even imagine what a relaxed day might look like.

I invite you to dream with me... what does your ideal ‘unhurried’ day look like? share with us x

I ask people how they want to feel quite a lot, and it’s surprisingly difficult to answer.

We’re often much better at talking about what we’d like to change than what we’re hoping to gain.

More energy.

Less stress.

A clearer head.

A body that feels comfortable to live in.

The ability to switch off for an afternoon without feeling guilty.

When I’m planning a Pilates session, experience or a retreat, that’s often where my mind starts. Not with what people need to achieve, but with how I hope they’ll feel when they leave.

When I think about wellbeing, that’s usually where my mind goes. Not towards becoming a different version of ourselves, but towards feeling a little more like ourselves again.

I’d love to know, what does feeling good mean to you? 💛
