Your generosity is more than financial — it’s a powerful vote of confidence in our club’s future. Whether the contribution was large or small, it plays a vital role in helping us improve our facilities, support our members, and continue holding inclusive, welcoming events for all.
Your incredible support raised £11,109 — 115% of our original £9,594 target. We can now proceed with the replacement of our sprinkler system, whilst additional funds will help improve other repairs around our green.
It is great to have such a supportive network of friends, neighbours and fellow bowlers and we look forward to sharing the progress your support makes possible.

Very many thanks to all those who have contributed to our Crowdfunder Appeal for the replacement of the water tank and sprinklers, particularly Sport England for being so enthusiastic in supporting us and giving us the encouragement and incentive to go ahead with a new venture. I’m delighted to say we have reached our initial target so we will soon be placing the order for this work to go ahead. For those who have been following the Appeal, you will know that we stretched the target a little to cover the dismantling and removal of the old tank and also the service of our Dennis mower. We are a little way off from achieving that but, who knows, we may reach it by 10th February when our Appeal closes. Thank you all, again.

As you might have seen from our previous post, an emergency situation has arisen in the last couple of months in that the metal tank, probably installed before 1977 when we first started playing at West Heath Rec, is leaking fairly seriously, and the sprinklers around the green are also leaking. Sport England have generously promised half the cost (c£5000) provided we can raise a similar amount through Crowdfunding.

We're very pleased to be able to say that, over the past year, members have raised £710 in support of our local Hospice as well as £150 to Cancer Research. Thanks everyone!

The chaps had success in maintaining our place in Div.4 of the NWK Triples League - well done all, in spite of having such a small pool of players. We again managed to retain the AR Cup, played against St Michael's, and received a Silver Gilt from Ruxley in Bloom for the work put in on our gardens and green by Steve Martin and the rest of the Green Team. We hope they realise just how valued they are!
