A lovely evening off training tonight! ⚽️🧡🖤

Instead, we spent the evening at Ninja Warriors — a well-deserved break for the girls before our first league game this weekend! 🙌⚽️

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in our Last Man Standing fundraiser and helped raise funds for the girls’ new jackets ready for winter. Your support is massively appreciated! 🧡🖤

And my Manager’s Player of the Match goes to…

WOW… what a defender she is!

AM is our latest signing and she has fitted into our team perfectly. All the girls absolutely love her — and so do we! 🧡🖤

Her work rate and composure are outstanding. She doesn’t get under pressure, she’s so calm on the ball and it’s amazing to see.

She’s strong in her tackles and is an absolute rock at the back. Her tackling today was brilliant! 💪

But not only can she defend… she can carry the ball too!

AM scored her first goal for us today after winning the ball back, driving straight down the middle of the pitch, taking players on and then calmly putting the ball past the keeper to get her first goal for the team — and our first goal of the match! ⚽🔥

What a moment!

Brilliant performance today, AM. What a player you are! 👏🔥

HY! 👏🔥🧡🖤

HY is normally our striker, but over the past few weeks we’ve dropped her onto the right wing — a position she has played before — and WOW, how deadly is she!

She was running up and down that wing all game, taking players on, making quick triangle passes with her teammates and causing the opposition all sorts of problems.

But what impressed me just as much was her defensive work. Whenever our defenders needed help, HY was there! She tracked back, helped win the ball back, chased down her opposition and constantly put pressure on them.

Outstanding performance! 👏

I think we may have found your new position! 😍

And the best thing is, HY has the versatility to play up top whenever we need her too.

Keep working hard, keep taking in all the information and, most importantly, keep being you!

HY is going to cause some serious problems next season and we absolutely cannot wait! 🔥🐯🧡🖤

🐯🧡🖤 WOW… WHAT A GAME! 🧡🖤🐯

What a way to finish our last friendly of pre-season against Kewford Eagles! These girls are definitely ready for the season ahead! 🔥

From our number 1 all the way through to our number 12, every single girl was absolutely phenomenal today.

Our goalkeeper pulled off some fantastic saves and showed brilliant decision-making throughout the game. Our defenders were absolutely solid — strong in the tackles, winning the ball back and showing exactly what we’ve been working on in training.

Playing out from the back, passing and moving, finding space and building attacks — it was fantastic to see the girls putting everything into practice. 👏

Our midfielders were all over the pitch! 💪 They covered every area, were strong in their tackles and won pretty much every ball. Our wingers were driving up and down the wings, tracking back to help cover our defenders, linking up with our midfielders and creating opportunities for our attackers.

And our attackers were clinical in front of goal! ⚽🔥 They chased down defenders, made quick decisions, passed and moved into space to open up the opposition and, of course, scored some fantastic goals!

An all-round outstanding performance from all 12 girls today. I am incredibly proud of every single one of you, and you should all be extremely proud of yourselves. 🧡🖤🐯

We’ve had an incredibly busy summer, and these parents have brought their girls week in and week out to training, tournaments and games. The commitment from both the girls and parents has been absolutely brilliant.

🏆 Manager’s Player of the Match — ER

ER played absolutely fantastic today! What a game she had! 👏

She scored two brilliant goals and could have had even more if she had been just a little more composed in front of goal. ER paid loads more attention today, which is something we have been working on, and when she does that, it really shows just how good a footballer she can be.

She made some brilliant runs, closed the ball down straight from goal kicks and did some fantastic passing and moving with the wingers.

A massive well done, ER! Fantastic performance all round. Keep up the hard work, keep paying attention and keep banging those goals in! ⚽️🔥

You were so close to that hat-trick today! 👌

🏆 Parents’ Players of the Match

We had two Parents’ Players of the Match again today, as there were so many girls who could have taken the award!

🥇 First Parents’ Player of the Match — IG

IG had a brilliant training session this week and brought that same energy into today’s game. As always, she was picking her teammates up, getting them into shape and using her voice brilliantly.

IG played excellently today, covering the centre of the park exactly how we know she can. She put in some very strong tackles and won 99% of her duels. She passed the ball beautifully and created some great opportunities for her teammates, including several assists.

A massive well done, IG! Brilliant performance! Keep working hard and keep listening. 👏🧡🖤

🥇 Second Parents’ Player of the Match — OH

OH played around 70% of today’s game in defence and what a brilliant job she did for us! She was strong in her tackles and, whenever she won the ball back, she always looked to do something positive with it and put her team on the break.

We then pushed her into her more natural position on the wing and WOW — what a job she did! She drove down that wing, took players on, got her head up and played some brilliant passes.

To top off her fantastic performance, she bagged herself a goal and got herself on the scoresheet! ⚽️👏

Massive well done, OH. I’m super proud of you! Keep working hard, keep listening and never change! 🧡🖤

What another fantastic day for the girls today! 🧡🖤

We started off a little slowly, but as soon as the opposition scored, our girls woke up! From then on, the energy was brilliant and we played some beautiful football. It was fantastic to watch! 👏⚽️

There are still areas we need to work on, especially commanding the ball rather than waiting for someone else to go to it. We need the girls to take control, make their own decisions and be confident in their choices. These are all areas we are continuing to work on, and I have no doubt they will keep improving.

Overall, every single girl had a brilliant game today. We were really solid at the back, moved the ball really well going forward and created some fantastic chances. I’m so proud of every one of you! ❤️

Keep working hard, girls, keep listening and keep pushing yourselves. If we continue working like this, we are going to go very far this season! 🧡🖤

Week 3 – Passing & Receiving 🧡🖤

Week 3 of our passing and receiving programme, and what an excellent training session it was! 👏

All the girls worked extremely hard and were switched on from the very first drill. There was some really good stuff tonight — the quick passing, receiving and turning with the ball was brilliant! ⚽️

I’m so impressed with how well these girls are taking to each week. We change things up every single week, which makes it really difficult for us to pick Trainer of the Week! 😂👏

⭐ Trainer of the Week – IG ⭐

This week’s Trainer of the Week goes to IG! 🏆👏

Every single week, IG’s voice and positivity towards the other girls is amazing to see. She is an absolute credit to this team! 🧡🖤

IG really struggled during the first section when we were working on receiving and turning with the ball, as she was knocking the ball too far out of her feet. But what impressed me most was that she never gave up. She kept working, kept listening and kept trying — and it paid off! Before long, she had got the hang of it and was flying by the time the drill finished. 👏⚽️

We then moved onto a different type of rondo that we’ve never done before. In every section, IG gave it her absolute best. Her voice was so encouraging and positive towards her teammates — exactly what we need from each other as a team! 🗣️👏

Then we moved into 2v2, working on both the attacking and defending sides. IG was brilliant! She was super quick to close down the attackers and made some fantastic tackles. 🛡️⚽️

When attacking, she passed the ball brilliantly, moved into space and created opportunities for her teammate. She then took everything we had worked on into the game at the end, which is exactly what we look for! 👏

So, so well deserved IG! 🏆
