Harborne Jets poured it on from the first whistle, storming to a 34–9 win over Harborne Hornets tonight! The passes were flowing, the defence was thunderous, and the shooting circle was under constant showers as we made it rain all game long! 🌧️🏐
Every quarter brought another downpour of goals, with slick teamwork and lightning-fast transitions across court. The Hornets were caught in a full-on Jets forecast – 100% chance of goals! ⚡️
Player of the Match goes to Kat 🌟
She was on cloud nine with her shooting, delivering a steady drizzle of assists and a torrential performance under the post. Simply un-brella-vable! ☂️
Jets 2 - 34, Hornets - 9

What a Game for Jets 2s today! We brought energy, determination and some seriously sharp netball from the first whistle.
The defensive unit were on fire, picking off intercept after intercept through the mid court and defensive third. Dudley’s shooters may have had a good eye, but they rarely got the chance to use it, getting the ball into the D was a challenge against Dani and Jess!
Centre court saw a few swaps today and every combination worked seamlessly to drive the ball forward. A special shout out goes to Rachel on her debut at WA, who brought a calm, level headed presence and delivered some beautiful balls into the circle - SMASHED IT!! 🤩
The shooters kept the score board ticking over despite tight marking. Lottie owned her space in the circle, confidently sinking those shots like a queen.
A fabulous all round performance, a shout out to Ella for player of the match - she was everywhere, tipping balls and forcing turnovers!
Final score:
39 Jets - 23 Dudley

Another day. Another game. While the result didn’t reflect the Jets’ performance, they still put up a great fight from start to finish. Despite having a few injured bums on the squad, there were plenty of positive takeaways!!
The defensive unit of Daisy, Grace, and Lucy acted as the ultimate shield, weathering every bit of pressure UoB threw their way and racking up intercept after intercept!
In the mid-court, Clare and Beth provided all the power needed to drive the ball forward; their vision and feeds into the attacking D were nothing short of a chef’s kiss.
The shooting rotation of Meg, Jess, and Tia found their rhythm early on. With great movement, they were sinking shots from all over the circle, staying competitive until the final whistle. A big shout-out also goes to Jess for a well-deserved Match Potato performance!
Final score: 43 (UOB)-28 (Jets)

Love was in the air this Saturday (and so were the interceptions!) 💘
On this pre-Valentine’s showdown, Jets 2 showed the love for the game with a hard-fought 32–27 win over Sparkhill ❤️🏐
In the defensive circle, Katie and Jess were a perfect match – stepping in with confidence, reading the game beautifully and shutting down chances like true heartbreakers 💔
Centre court was buzzing with energy from Kelly, Sophie, Erin and Ella, keeping the ball moving and the pressure on all game long. 🌪️
✨ Player of the Match goes to Ella – absolutely everywhere, fingertip interceptions, relentless drive… a performance to fall in love with 😍
In the shooting circle, Kat and Lottie braved some questionable pre-Valentine’s weather 🌧️💨 but still delivered the goods, calmly putting up the shots when it mattered most 🎯
A win built on teamwork, grit and a whole lot of heart.
Jets 2, you’ve stolen our hearts for Valentine’s Day 💖

Precipitation 1, Jets 0 ☔
Jets 1 braved the wind and gale,
With sideways rain that truly tried to derail 🌬️
Facing Sparks in the pouring rain,
Where staying upright was simply the main aim 🤦♀️
The whistle blew, the skies said no,
Yet off they splashed, first centre pass to go 💦
The play was slick, ball like soap,
But Jets clung tight to hope 💪
In defence stood Lucy, Grace and Daisy,
Cool under pressure, sharp not lazy 😎
Hands over balls, timing on point,
Turning Sparks’ clean feeds into soggy disappointment 🌊
Centre court buzzed with endless motion,
Emma, Claire and Beth (🥔) in full devotion 🔥
Chasing passes, closing space,
Linking play with grit, pace and netball grace 🏃♀️
In a big gust of wind, Emma headed into attack,
But throughout the match, Meg and Jess led the shooting pack 🎯
Through slipping feet and flying spray,
They found their shots and made them pay 💥
The final score: thirty-two to twenty-two,
A soggier fight you’ll rarely view ☔
But grit, teamwork and heart on show
Meant Jets 1 left with plenty to grow 💜

In seriously gusty conditions, Jets 2 let the wind do the talking with a formidable 46–16 win over Varsity 🌬️
Defensive duo Dani and Jess were storm-proof at the back, shutting down attacks all game — with POTM blowing straight to Dani 🥔
In the circle, Tan and Kat kept their cool, burying shots left, right and centre, unphased by the gusts 🎯
Through centre court, Kelly, Ella, Katie and Erin worked nonstop, turning balls and delivering feeds to keep Jets flying high 💨✈️
Full-time whistle blew, the gusts settled, but the Jets were miles ahead💜🌪️

New year, same Jets energy ✨💜 We were definitely flying into a tough challenge against North Solihull Stars Lightning ⚡️with some windy conditions adding to the test but the Jets 1 team kept battling right to the final whistle.
Despite the gusts trying to ground us, our defence of Lucy, Grace and Jess P worked brilliantly together, creating pressure and picking up some great turnovers. Lucy was everywhere, riding the wind for interceptions and deservedly claiming match potato 🥔👏🏻.
Through centre court, Clare, Emma and Katie kept the game moving smoothly, showing composure and control even when the conditions were anything but calm 💪🏻.
In attack, Tia and Jess worked hard against a tricky Stars defence, moving the ball well around the circle, creating space and finishing with some great shots 💫.
Not the result we wanted, but plenty of positives to take from our first game back after Christmas 💜💙🩵
Thank you to all our supporters who braved the wind/cold and cheered us on!
Final score: Harborne Jets 1 ✈️ 19– 28 North Solihull Stars Lightning ⚡️

In conditions best described as partly chaotic with a strong chance of drama, Jets 1 took to the court against Willenhall Town and produced a thunderous performance that ended in a nail-biting 24–24 draw.
The defensive end formed a full weather system of its own: Lucy, Grace and Daisy created a defensive downpour, raining on Willenhall’s attack with interceptions, tips and enough pressure to cause a full-blown shooting drought for the opposition.
In the eye of the storm was Beth at centre, whirling through the court like a well-timed cyclone—everywhere at once, picking up loose balls, feeding the circle, and keeping the team’s momentum swirling in the right direction.
Claire, gliding at WA, brought sunshine and sparkle to every play. Her feeds were so bright the shooters practically needed sunglasses. With her nonstop energy and pinpoint passing, she earned a well deserved match potato.
Up in the shooting circle, Jess, Meg, and Tia weathered Willenhall’s defence and kept the scoreboard ticking like a steady drizzle turning into a storm surge.
The game stayed neck and neck—a proper meteorological stand-off—no team able to blow the other away. With every quarter tightly contested, the pressure built like a rising barometer, and by the final whistle, the atmosphere was electric.
And so, in fitting fashion, this dramatic clash ended 24–24, a perfectly balanced result after a match that had clouds, sunshine, storms, and everything in between.
A draw—but what a whirlwind. 🌪️
