From the branches of my back garden apple tree to the warmth of a home-made pie, this little ritual reminds me how menopause wellness is rooted in simple, nourishing moments.

Menopause isn’t about drastic changes or endless struggle - it’s about slowing down, reconnecting with your body and finding joy in everyday of acts of care.

If you’re navigating changes in your body and feeling overwhelmed, remember: sometimes the best medicine is fresh air, gentle movement and a little sweetness.

💪 Strength Training & Perimenopause – Why It’s Essential 💥

As a trainer who works with women 40+, I see it all the time: once we hit perimenopause, things start to shift—physically and hormonally.

But here’s the good news 👉 strength training can help you take control.
Even just 2–3 sessions a week can:✅ Preserve muscle & boost metabolism✅ Support healthy bones✅ Improve energy, sleep & mood✅ Help you feel more powerful in your body again

You don’t need to lift heavy right away — the key is to start.

✨ These dumbbells? They’re more than weights. They’re tools for strength, resilience, and confidence at every stage.

Absolutely! I got to the gym when I feel
Anxious, angry, sad, moody and always come away feeling so much better.

It’s my time to focus purely on me.

I wish more women would use exercise as a tool to help with mood swings and anxiety.

Anyone else use exercise to help then deal with emotions and stresses? Comment below

Sunday evening gym prep for training tomorrow morning.

I have used two weetabix broken and crushed and added milk to soften and bind it together.

I have then used 150g Fage yogurt and used a fork to spread it evenly over the weetabix.

You can add any topping of your choice but it am going to use 100g of frozen berries and I will defrost these overnight in the fridge and pour over the cheesecake in the morning.

Tupperware is optional 🤪

This will help keep me fuelled for training tomorrow.

Now I am going to have a good rest and chill with a drink before bed.

Night x

A fat loss journey is hard, buts it’s even harder if you don’t plan.

One thing I teach my ladies is to always plan ahead.

Making sure they prep food, drinks and get everything ready the night before is a huge weight off their minds especially when we all know the power of sleep during perimenopause.

Whilst it can feel tedious and overwhelming spending Sunday afternoon prepping, it also means you are in control the next few days!

I always make sure I listen to music whilst busy prepping as the tine passes by quicker 😁
This is a little sample of my food tomorrow.

😩 Fed up of feeling tired all the time, like every day is a battle with your mind and body?

👎🏼 Perimenopause doesn’t play fair.

If you’re over 40, it’s like your body’s decided to swap the rulebook for something written in an ancient language.

Symptoms show up, energy disappears and getting in shape feels impossible, right?

One thing made a huge difference for me ... ditching hours of exhausting cardio and instead switching to strength training.

Pick a simple routine, some resistance bands, or even just your own body weight. Spend 10-15 minutes soon after waking doing some squats, gentle rows and stretches.

Mix with a breakfast full of protein (think eggs or Greek yoghurt) and you’ll notice your energy doesn’t vanish before lunchtime.

It’s not about massive overhauls or impossible routines. It’s about tuning in to what your body actually needs right now.

If you want practical advice that fits your life (and won’t eat up your whole day), I’m here to help.
