Congrats to .brooks for winning the event at Aldwickbury Park. He’s worked hard on his stroke over the winter, and good to see it rewarded in the 1st event of the year. First of many 🏆
Here he is using for eye calibration on a 3% left to right slope and a Crest Golf flat ball to give feedback and achieve that end over end roll 👍🏻

Final round.
59.
To win on the PGA EuroPro Tour.
This round didn’t follow the pattern most people expect.
Yes, the short putts mattered — they always do.
And a few from 5–10 feet are where good rounds are usually built.
But what made this round unusual was how many putts dropped from mid-range and even long range.
That’s not something you can plan or rely on — and it’s why rounds like this are rare.
Over time, I’ve learned that putting isn’t one skill.
It’s different decisions from different distances, and elite players treat those distances very differently.
That philosophy is built around five distinct zones —
each with a different goal, mindset, and practice focus.
Most golfers train them all the same.
Elite players don’t.
If you want the practice manual that breaks down those five zones —
what actually matters in each one, and how to train them properly —
comment MANUAL and I’ll send it to you 👇
One of the biggest factors with incorrect aim, is a poorly situated eye-line over the ball. Try this drill to identify where your eyes should be located over the ball.
For myself this is on the inside edge of the golf ball.
In putting, approximately a 1° incorrect face aim will point you outside the hole on a straight 10ft putt.

All putters are NOT created equal.
🔹 Straighter arc → reduced face rotation
🔹 Moderate arc → moderate face rotation
🔹 Increased arc → increased face rotation
Match the putter to your stroke — not the other way around.
Great to watch .brooks win the Whittington Heath winter series yesterday with a great -10. Ryan has worked hard recently on his putting changing putter and acceleration profile. +3 strokes gained on the greens are numbers we’re looking forward to seeing frequently in his 2026 campaign. Onwards and upwards!
Every putter has a natural torque profile.
Square-to-square putters want 1–3° of rotation.
Mild toe hang wants 4–6°.
Extreme toe hang wants 7–12°.
Here’s the problem…
Some golfers using an extreme toe hang only rotate 3–4°.
So now the golfer and the putter want completely different things.
That mismatch causes two faults:
1️⃣ Over-rotate late and flip it closed → miss left
2️⃣ Hold on and drag the handle → push right
If the putter doesn’t match your natural rotation, consistency disappears.

Before your next round, drop a few coins on the practice green 🪙
Putt balls to the coins — no hole, no pressure.
Just pure pace control.
When you move back to the cup, it’ll look bigger and your mind will already be tuned into speed.
Small target → big hole effect.
Simple. Effective. Game-changing. ⛳️
-13 for a 5th place finish at the Pro Am 🇵🇹
Really pleased with how I putted this week — the stroke felt solid, the reads were clear, and my pace control was good. That’s always the difference between a good score and a great one.
If you’re struggling with consistency on the greens — whether it’s face control, tempo, start line, or stroke length — I can help you build a putting system that actually holds up under pressure.
Back at Tour Putt HQ on Friday.
DM to book in and start gaining real shots on the greens. ⛳️💛💙
Brilliant run event from all the staff at Golfing days. Highly recommended!
🎯 Tour Putt HQ – SAM PuttLab Session
In today’s session I’m breaking down one key piece of my process that helps me continually improve performance on the greens.
This test focused on timing — specifically my forward stroke length, which had become too short.
When that happens, tempo shifts, acceleration changes, and distance control starts to suffer.
I then show you a drill I use to extend the forward stroke marginally, bringing my tempo back into balance and matching my intended speed profile.
Interestingly, the amateur golfer usually has the opposite problem — their forward stroke is far too long, causing poor speed control.
📊 That’s why measuring these elements on SAM PuttLab is so valuable.
It’s not opinion — it’s data.
Great to have .brooks in today prepping for his Challenge Tour campaign in 2026.
New putter ✅
Reduced Shaft lean ✅
Lie angle adjustments ✅
Tweaked with his release pattern which helped launch and face direction.
Big plan in place to monitor strokes gained throughout the winter and keep moving forward 💪
