Dear Sutton Coldfield Women's RFC,
Iβm a retired rugby player carrying out my Masters of Research (MRes) degree at the University of Bath. I am conducting new research on The Prevalence and Experiences of Heavy Menstrual Bleeding among Women Rugby Players: a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study.
Iβm looking for participants who regularly menstruate, currently play 15-a-side rugby union, or have played rugby within the past year in England, are aged 18 or above, and pre-menopausal to complete the below anonymous survey. I welcome responses from all women who play rugby β not just those who feel they might have an issue with their menstrual cycle. The purpose of this research is to determine the prevalence of heavy menstrual bleeding in this context before exploring why this may occur and, if necessary, what can be put in place to reduce this impact.
The anonymous survey can be accessed below and will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete online.
