🗓️ APRIL FIXTURES 🗓️

We are counting down the days until our first fixtures of the season. With friendlies confirmed for the 11th April and the league kicking off on the 18th. The 1st XI start off with a tasty local derby at home to Moseley Ashfield, whilst the 2nd XI make the familiar journey over to Handsworth where it snowed the last time we played them on the first day of the season!

Back in Division 7 West for 2026, the 3rd XI start their league season on the same weekend as the 1st and 2nd XI for the first time in over 10 years. Meanwhile the 4th XI will play out a couple of friendlies before their league season starts in May. Fingers crossed the temperature rises before then!

📣 The 2026 cricket season is just over a month away way and there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes to prepare for the summer ahead. As a volunteer led club, we rely on the goodwill of members and families to sustain our activities for all those in South Birmingham. We have several sponsorship opportunities available and would welcome conversations with anyone interested in investing in community sport.

📸 Introducing our indoor softball cricket team for this season, a combination of both seasoned and brand new players. Last year was a strong effort from everyone involved, and finishing as runners-up showed the hard work, commitment, and team spirit that this team brings every time we step onto the pitch.

This season, our goal is simple: build on last year’s success and push even further. Here’s to a great season.

👋🏼 OZZY’S BACK! 👋🏼

We are pleased to announce the return of seam bowler, Uwais Hassan, to the club for the upcoming 2026 season. After a couple of seasons away, we’re delighted to have him back in Kings Heath colours and can’t wait to see him in action again.

Uwais has 172 first XI wickets to his name with best figures of 5/34 taken against Leamington Spa in 2022. Whilst predominantly known for his bowling, he also hits a long ball and many will remember his infamous 140 not out for our 3rd XI when he was coming through the ranks as a junior!

🏏 With winter nets underway for our junior and women’s teams, and senior sessions kicking off shortly it’s the perfect time to consider joining Kings Heath CC.
