So many of our customers have been asking for these, especially for the Gear Shift e-cargo bike hire. Please share and fill in this survey widely

Residents across Birmingham have been asking for bike storage solutions, which could follow on from residents' parking schemes. Please fill out the survey to let me know if you would support a bike hangar on your road and I will present your views to Birmingham City Council. https://tinyurl.com/BrumBikes

There will be a ride in Birmingham on Saturday remembering Alex Pretti an ICU nurse murdered by the state leaving 1pm Victoria Square. Immigrants are part of our community, here in Birmingham and in Minneapolis where Surly Bikes, and Park Tool are both based - things we are familiar with in our shop.

Rojava Co-operative Fundraiser 2016 23/01/2026

Rojava in Syria is under attack from ISIS. There is a solidarity demonstration tomorrow at 1pm in Victoria Square which some of our workers will be attending.

Cities are under seige and the black flags of ISIS have been seen in Syria again, something made possible by the U.S and general western endorsement of the dictator Assad's replacement Jolani (previously leader of the fundamentalist al Nusra Front).

Back in 2017 when the Syrian Defence Forces there were battling ISIS in Raqqa our co-operative undertook a fundraising campaign which raised £10,000 for a womens bakery co-operative in the city of Kobane. Kobane is now under siege again from many of the same forces they defeated, and who have been prison broken with support from government soldiers.
